Yes, I don’t think the players respond to McHale the way they did to Adelman. Adelman got a lot of criticism for being “passive” but McHale looked straight up bored last night and it pissed me off. And we were bad on defense last year, but I don’t remember looking as lazy and pathetic as we did last night – that’s on coaching, especially coaching that was so touted for bringing in “toughness.”

It’s a small sample size, but right now the Rockets have gone from 18th best defensive team to 28th, and the Wolves have gone from 27th to 11th…

I disagree, coming back from injury would make many people play tentatively. Especially an injury to feet or ankles.

It takes time and the players to match with the coach..I don't miss him (RA) he never used bench...McHale doesn't have his team yet, once he gets the players to match his style I believe he will be a very good coach..

Yep. We were also 2-8 on the road in the first month last year, with two wins coming against the Pacers and Knicks (neither team as good as the teams we've faced this year on the road).

Yea and he didn't look too happy when the Wolves lost the lead after climbing out of the hole they dug. I think Martin is just the medicine he needs.

Yes, sure, Adelman is one of the bests still coaching in NBA.

In a second thought, what is the difference if we do not make changes in management?

    Oh, well.

Terrible assessment. Coach McHale has been dealt a crappy hand coming over to the Rockets. He has no dominant big man at all, no summer league, no training camp, etc. The failed Gasol trade hurt, the inability of the organization to secure star talent, and the disappointing play of certain key players (PPat, Morris, CBud, KMart, TWill-- pretty much anyone not named Kyle Lowry) have all conspired against him. And the obvious lack of support from so many so-called fans on this board creates more negativity than is really warranted.

Give Coach some slack. He historically has great rapport with players, he has a will to win, and he has made some ballsy in-game coaching decisions and substitutions in a small sample size in an effort to win. I like him, I think McHale is going to surprise many people when it is all said and done. I support you, Coach McHale.

not really, McHale is the type of coach who can either coach the best players or the worst. He has proved that he knows how to massage the ego and cater to stars as both gm and coach, he has also proven that given the right players, he can net you a very high draft pick.

Remember that year, Van Gundy won a meaningless final season game against denver, motivating his guys till the end, this bs won't fly under Mchale.

McHale knows when to tank and when the game is lost. I don't really think he would mind turning the coaching to Adelman from the sidelines.

RA was great...I miss him I miss JVG and of coarse RudyT....

RA Multiple times almost won coach of the year as a rocket coach. He was also drafted by the San Diego Rockets, so was easy to become loyal to him.

McFail is a evil Celtic that deafeated Dream/Sampson Rockets in 86'. His team ripped mu heart out as a kid. I remember booing the hell out of him.

His record Sucks overall as a head Coach and I closed the book on him before we hired him. Might aswell hire Karl Malone, John Stockton and Danny Ainge:mad::mad::mad: to run our team into the tank.

Well hmmm....Maybe hes the perfect coach for Tanking the rockets he always f***** us over! Atleast I already can't stand him.

Remember all those meaningless win by Adelamn towards the end to achiceve at least a 50-50 season, both for his coaching record (resume) and to meet requirements byt Morey and Lex- Won't fly around the league

McHale has been around the league since he was a player. His contract as a coach is the least of his worries, so Morey is unlikely to bully him with this.

He will tell you that as a gm, his performance is only a reflection of the players you gave him.

But again, McHale will either be good enough for a high position in the playoffs or you a re guaranteed a high position on the draft boards.

Matching Scola with Howard and Bynum during important stretches of the game is definitely Bill Fitch esque.

lol, who better to help you tank than mchale, he has a proven record. You just have to make sure he is not involved in any transactions with the Celtics cos he will always **** you over them

Right, when he was forced by management to integrate Yao Ming with a minute mandate and couldn't play him on back-to-backs.
