I'm actually excited to see us almost at the bottom, we should really just try to enjoy Lowry and some of the Rockets playing a good game every now and again. We're not going to get anywhere anyway, all the commentators are saying we are in worst possible place: stuck in mediocrity. So it's time to get a losing season while the players still are allowed to give it their best and improve, especially defensively. Truth is: we are the worst defensive team right now, even worse than last year. We give up the most points in the paint, opponents shoot the highest percentage against us, we give up a lot of rebounds, foul like p*****s (except for Dalembert, whose our new Deke and the list goes on and one. I hope from here on out Twill, Parsons and even Flynn get a lot of playing time. If one of them plays well enough, we can try to trade em or keep em. I don't like to lose games, but in this terrible scheduled season with us learning on the go it's not so bad if after the two OKC games we are 2-6 and last place.
People keep saying its early but who are they fooling? They act like we will end up higher than the same record we had over the past two years with nearly the same guys. If making aminor comeback is your retort to bring us back to barely .500? As your reaction to us telling us we are knee jerking? Little news here morons. We know they may bounce back to slightly above average to average. Thats what worries us is another mediocre year of a few games above 500 and 8th seed at best or no playoffs with a winning record. NEWSFLASH! Thats not a good season morons. Even if its a winning season.
?? As long as there will be no more lockouts within 10, 15 years we have the trade deadline and the offseason to get better, make trades, draft players. More time to evaluate everything. NBA Life goes on.
* new coach * new system * some guys from last year no longer here * some new guys * shortened training camp * compressed schedule means fewer practices Sure, OP, we should be playing like a well-oiled machine at this point.
That I'm seriously not that mad as many people seem to be right now. I think if we end second to last or last and we get a high pick many people will be happy next season, so with that in mind it's not so bad to get used to 14th / 15th place in the west.
Seriously, how hard is the beginning of our schedule though? The teams we play/played in our first 8 games of the season are a combined 28-15 right now and not a single one of them have a losing record. 7 of those games either a part of a back-to-back-to-back or a 4 games in 5 nights scenario. Brutal.
Record and standings are irrelevant right now. Need to focus on the individual games and see where the problems are located. Rockets have some major issues that just won't go away, they need to correct them and fast or tanking may not be an issue but reality.
Why is there so much false hope? We aren't going anywhere.. The sad part is me saying that will make people say I'm not a real Rockets fan..
Look at every team's schedule. We can't complain about back to backs cause everyone has an average of 4 games a week.
Clutchfans, where "proud to be last cause then we probably won't be some time in the future" happens.
We're doing better than I thought we would be at this point. I thought we would be winless or win only 1 game at this point. The first 10 games of the schedule are brutal.
