I like Parsons but he's young and a rookie.

Williams needs to play more, he is the only person on the team other than Lowry who can get to the basket and draw fouls. IMO the perfect rotation would be

    Lowry/Dragic
    Lee/Martin
    Bud/Williams
    Scola/Patterson
    Dalembert/Hill

The 2nd unit of Dragic-Martin-Williams-Patterson-Hill is really good if Martin can take playing off the bench.

The first unit has a nice combo of defense and scoring, and surrounding scola with three point shooters.

He's not even trying now, which is something I don't understand.

I think he should get both more time and more touches. He needs to be encouraged to be aggressive with the ball and know he will get PT, at least for the short term/this season.

Give him a chance to get comfortable and show what he can do before the option deadline passes.

I'm down for that but this passive TWill needs to disappear quickly. He needs to be much more aggressive than what he's shown.

He's playing in the flow of the offense now. No longer do we see pointless T-Will maneuvers. He's playing defense as well.

I'm really hoping Bud gets his game back, but if not I'd almost like to see Parsons in the starting lineup. Every starting lineup needs a hustle guy.
    Miami has Joel.
    The Bulls have Joakim.
Lakers have Metta (it might not seem like it, but he does put effort into games).

Anyone else notice that we played better when Parsons replaced Scola?

Looked to me that he tried to fit in. No more taking the ball out of bounds and keeping it. He tried to move off ball. Got up tight on his man to play d. Dude just needs both time and coaching. Unfortunately, there aren't enough practices to train in better habits.

The OP's post and his moniker is strangely ironic.

Williams is the last Rocket who needs more PT. If he was as talented as some of his stans think he is, trust me, he'd be getting more time because talent on this team is thin. There's a reason he's not.

He does seem to making day-to-day improvements.

Before he would never take threes, or at least they would not even come close to going on.
    Now they are decently falling.

Before he would do some stupid jump in the air before passing the ball. He doesn't do as often anymore.

Before he would hog the ball on isolation and do something completely outside the offense. Now he plays in rhythm.

He still has a lot of things to work on, but I'm somewhat impressed with the small things he's done to his game.

    I don't like Parsons.

I don't like TWill either but I don't like Parsons more. I think.

Yeah its funny though. When he is aggressive EVERYONE b****es saying he something like he's a dumbass, a ball hog, black hole, selfish, not a team player...

Everyone should understand that he is a 1-on-1 player and like Bullard put it before, he's the best 1on1 player on the team. It's good to have a weapon like that on a team that you can use when things aren't working, you can just give him the ball and clear out. Let him take his man to the rack and with his quickness and elevation, he has good a chance majority of the time converting 1-on-1.

Williams has so far to go, I can't see the tunnel, much less the light at the end of it. He's still looking incredibly awkward out there. He doesn't move well off the ball (a major problem for Adelman, I'm sure), and is still trying to do too much by himself, to the extent that when he does attempt to involve his teammates, he looks like a cat dozing at the wheel of his car, suddenly waking up halfway in the other lane, with a semi rig heading straight towards him. Honestly, he continues to both display talent, and display an ability to not use it in a way that justifies giving him more minutes. Williams is a project that may take so long to pan out that he'll run out of time before Morey has to decide whether or not to pick up his option. The clock is ticking. The same with Thabeet, but at least big men tend to take longer to develop, except for several during the history of the Rockets that had an immediate impact.

What's there to like and not like. Please specify.
Guy played 24 minutes, 11 pts 8 rbs and dunked on Griffin.

Parsons has looked more impressive than Williams. I'd start Parsons, bench Williams, and legitimately tank.

He sure is a puzzle. I remember seeing him chucking it up when he played against us with the Nets, and now is like he doesn't want to shoot or attack the basket. His defense has been nothing to write home about, yet. The clock is ticking Terrence, you need to play with more urgency.

Oh come on. Our schedule is extremely tough for the first 10 games. More time to judge the team is needed.
