It’s all a part of the innovation and creativity this new coaching staff was brought in for.

You're right. He was waiting until the 4th quarter when all the garbage players were playing then he would make a mass substitution with three minutes to go and win the game! ;) He only didn't try it because we were down 30+!

I understand that it was our 4th game in 5 nights, the starters weren't playing with any heart at all on the defensive end (with the exception of Lowry), and we have a fairly young team that can use some garbage time to help develop them... But THAT early in the game??

The lineup that was playing decently tonight was Dalembert, PPat, Parsons/TWill, Dragic, and Lowry. THAT should have been the team on the floor for at least the remainder of the 3rd and first 4-5 min of the 4th.

I don't know... maybe its not the most strategic thing to do, but I guess I just have too much pride to give up and fall victim to "Lob City".

Terrence Williams' defense on Blake Griffin was better than anything else he did tonight. That was probably a better defensive matchup for us than putting Hill or Scola on him.

all i wanna know is why t-will, parson, and sometimes lowry were guarding griffin low in the post. Why the pink hell was t-will and lowry and scola on the floor together with twill playing power forward.

And each time, the clippers went to griffin in the post, and i mean deep in the post against these players time after time, and mchale failed to make any adjustment.

its surprising considering we have patterson, thabeet, jordan hill, dalembert and scola- and yet- twill, parsons and lowry were guarding griffin in the post.

You just don't have a pulse on the game. The starters were giving up too much on the defensive end. The bench gave us a nice change of pace. That is the micro view.

The macro view is that it was the 2nd game in 2 nights. The Clippers had a couple days off.

Not sure what anyone sees in Adrien but he sucks really bad. I can't understand how this guy is on our roster? Rockets said we sent Morris to D-Leauge for playing time well he should be getting the numbers Adrien is getting at least Morris would be getting playing time against NBA Players. SMH

You answered your own observation in the same sentence.

What do YOU think the turn out would be if Alexander or Morey said they were going for ping pong balls this year?

    Leslie runs a business.....

BTW.....it's clear that McHale is saving players and playing the also rans more due to the constant back-to-backs

Or maybe just trying to figure out who to keep and who to toss back into the water. Eventually, the Rockets are going to have to shed some "assets" because there just aren't enough minutes to keep everyone happy.

OMG, I was thinking the very same thing OP. K-low and Luis did not even come back second half. I know it was a back to back but we were only down 15 early in the 3rd. Ridiculous if you ask me, we did not even have a chance for a comeback.

WOW!!! come guys.... UT stated it correctly...

The team just played a hard game the night before and the Clips were a fresh team coming into the game.

The first thing that the Clips did was push the ball hard the first quarter, which is what you're suppose to do when you play a team that played the night before.

This is not XBox or PS3 where the guys can go all day without any rest.

I would have given up on them too... They looked pathetic defensively.... Scola makes me cringe everytime a layup or dunk is made in front of him.... He steps backwards, positioning himself directly under the goal, and makes a half-hearted swipe at the ball.. It's truly Charles Barkley-esque!!!

Because the starters don't even know how to SPELL defense.

Because the starters were getting their asses kicked by 23 and in the second game of a back-to-back and making youtube plays...for the younger, bigger, faster, stronger Clippers.

Not even remotely unreasonable to empty the bench in that situation.

Experimentation with lineups. I think we have to find a lineup and strategy to benefit TWill. He's looking horrid so far.

Maybe its just NBA 2K12, but I see flashes of T-Mac in his game. If it fails, f$ck it, I want a shot at Anthony Davis out of UK.
