Why can't I give a thread a grade lower than 1 star? Why? WHY?? Help, Clutch! (and yes, that question should be asked in Feedback)
I have, and likely never will be, a fan of Morey's. This is a roster of poor, poor talent. And that's on the GM. Yes, he's acquired assets, but they're crappy assets. Martin's stock is falling. I doubt Lowry goes anywhere, as should be. And Scola is a second or third-tier, one-dimensional power forward, so he MIGHT land you a decent starter, but no one spectacular. I shouldn't be writing a post so soon after a horrific loss, but, man, what a travesty the Rockets were the last two days to the game of basketball.
In all honesty he was on pace to secure us a lineup of Pau and Nene. While I might still not like Pau, I would do anything to get rid of Martin.
Outside of Scola and Lowry and Martin they are just role players meant to play around a star. People seem to forget the big fella last year who suddenly retired. When that happen the Rockets went right into rebuild mode. This is actually the first season without Yao. So you have to give Morey more than just one season to replace that.

What I recall reading is that Morey was really looking to have Gasol, Nene, and Hayes. Imagine those three in our frontcourt. Arrgh!
I don't think it's time to fire Morey. Remember we just lost Yao Ming and Tracy Mcgrady to injuries. Those were our franchise players. You think if the Lakers lost Kobe and Pau they would just be able to automatically get superstars? These things take time. At least we got Kevin Martin out of that. A lot of GM's wouldn't be able to pull that off. I agree, he has pissed me off at times but everyone makes mistakes and I don't think he's a bad GM.
Yea....he is ranked top 5 one might even say top 3 which is elite Nobody virtually is handing us a superstar and our trades get vetoed. Kevin, Luis are not going anywhere with this team....that was obvious They are not getting younger and I think it is really time to get some young value for them.
Morey knows what he is doing.. Why? Hiring Mchale explains it all.. How about sit back and watch us tank REAL HARD?
No I say don't. Morey wants to do the right thing a tank by Les wants to try a put a team out there to compete while he rebuilds. And well you can't have your cake and eat it too Les. Morey can't force people to make trades with him but when he does tend to be good trades. He can find those diamonds in the ruff and I want to see what he can do with a high lotto pick or at least hoping we can suck enough to get top 5 pick.
