Which is BS. Lowry could have the best stats at the PG position for the entire year and would not get voted in as the starter. The NBA is a popularity contest. It reminds me of my high school days. It is pathetic! But.. I still watch every Rocket game
I voted for Scola, Lowry and Dalembert. Yes, Dalembert....what can I say? I'm a homer! : ) Plus....I'd rather give my vote to a player that I like than to Bynum, for example.
He might not get in, but if we can make enough noise it will attract the media and coaches and assure he gets in as a reserve. BELIEVE!
How is it that we get to choose Dalembert in the first place, many teams only get 3 players to choose from and we get a 4th in Sam
after the all-star game and lowry worked his ass off maybe players would love to join lowry and come to the rockets
I AM NOT voting Bynum in for West's center. I also voted for Dalembert I hate Bynum almost as much as I hate Ginobili.

The All-Star Game, as us fans of Yao know, is a popularity contest. Any chance the Ricky Rubio buzz could get him enough votes for an undeserved starting bid? I don't think I have a feel for his overall popularity (but as an NBA fan, I'm always curious to see his passing highlights, as I'm sure many others are).
Clutch, my first thought is no. Bigger basketball fans might well be aware of who Ricky Rubio is and what he can do, but if the average NBA fan that I've met over here in Beaumont is any indication of what average NBA fans are across the nation - they'll not have any idea of who he is and will vote for the Big Name Stars....especially as Rubio is playing for a lower tier franchise. Too, this has been such a short season for him over here in the US....the NBA opening games are too close to the All Star Game voting. Now, next year? That might be something else.
At least Lowry will get the much needed recognition and hopefully plays a factor towards the reserves selection.
