Battery life is decent, but I will tell you that it is definitely not great out of the box (stock unrooted) if you're a power user.
If you do decide to get the device, go with the extended battery as well, it doesn't add much thickness, at all.

I have the LTE version, so I can't comment on the GSM version.

are you using the kernel that is packaged into Axiom?

I've been using Franco's Nightly 8 kernel and it's sooo smooth, decent battery life too.

What is your battery life like after rooting? Do you find yourself recharging midday?

much better. after letting a kernel settling down a bit, there's no problem getting through a day. wouldn't be able with stock and not rooted.

as far as battery life, its decent, I get through the day without a charge with casual usage. But I'd still get a car charger.

I think I'll wait this time. Other than having ICS, the hardware seems underwhelming.

I got the GSM version too. Battery life wasn't great the first day with Android OS taking up a lot. I'm gonna see how it is today without location services and syncing. So far Andorid OS isn't draining nearly as much.

Other than that, it's great. I love the multi-tasking function.

When you first turn on phone, open your camera, and then close it.
Report back if "Android OS' usage has decreased :)

    I will try that.

Is there a faster way of closing it besides hitting home and then closing it through the multi-tasking button? Yes, I'm a noob.

oh, what I mean by that is just open your camera, and then hit home to exit out of it :p

A kernel developer on XDA thinks there is an issue with the camera starting automatically , and not shutting off properly (don't worry, not like your lens going on and taking pictures)

I haven't tried it as I'm on a separate kernel. It may not help, but worth a shot :)
