You just lost because we didnt have size of two bigs to even make this thread sound silly. One of them which was Gasol who wouldnt have been on the Lakers if it went through.

Good ole regular fans. Players only matter on offense. Yet they get surprised when the team sucks on defense. "I don't get it. How can my team's defense suck when we have all these great scorers on the team?"

    Lowry + Pau + Nene + Hayes > Lowry + Martin + Scola + Dalembert

I like the idea of Nene, Gasol, and Hayes more than what we have now.

Denver gave him more money and a better situation on and off the court.

I don't know where you and DD got you sources. But this is just wrong. When you look at a deal, the number of years matter.

Regardless. We lost to two bigs tonight. Mostly because we had none who could compete. Thats what matters. Had it went through? Dont know that would be the case if they only had Bynum and we had perhaps Nene and Gasol. I do think seriously Bynum would not have had 20 and 20. We would not be last in the league in points in the point and allowing the most in the point either.

So if you feel a player is worth more than just counting stat, why do you only judge Nene by his counting stat?

I couldn't give any more ****'s about Gasol being Spanish. He's tall and long and seems to tip loose rebounds back to his teammates all the time.

I do care about that. He dominates or neutralizes Scola every time the face each other and would have been a beast here matched up with Nene.

oh and BTW, He is a Barca fan. Born and raised in Barcelona. I'll send you picks of Camp Nou tonight (I'm in Barcelona right now) when I head to the game. ;)

Its over now. Morey has to move on from it. It better not take 3 years for him to recover because I dont believe he has 3 years if it does take that long for him to do something else. Regardless some of these non deals are becoming stains on his resume if we stay at just outside the playoffs but also not a lottery team to rebuild. Les Alexander is not gonna even put up with the 9th seed for year after year.

well, I don't feel that way AT ALL, defense is very important and I still consider Nene overpaid so there you go...

I still think we got saved. But then again, I'm looking beyond this strike shortened season. Are we contenders with a Nene/Gasol combo and whatever else was left over? I don't think so. I just watched Bynum dominate Nene a few nights ago and he clearly isn't worth max $$ (Nene). So yes, I'm happy we didn't trade a boatload for a player who isn't worth building your team around and I'm happy we didn't give a guy who clearly isn't a max player max $$. What's to like about either of those things? My fandom is to the franchise...not just for the 2011-12 season.

Scola and KMart are 28 and 31.
Nene and Gasol are 29 and 31.

Scola and KMart have 3 years and 2 years left on their contracts.
Nene and Gasol have 4 years and 2 years left on their contracts.

What's the future we're destroying here?

Where did he dominate or neutralize Scola? Scola went for 20 and was tired after that....We dont have a back up because Patrick is not ready.
Neither can contain the other.........although I guess Gasol will rebound better by 2 rebounds

I am really at a loss with you guys......
Can you really find an article about Nene that says he dominates defensively that you say they will be beasts?
Gasol's 14 and 8 boards and the occasional Nene 14pts and 7 boards are not even allstar worthy.......
