offtopic: interesting that Couains is not starting for the Kings today. Westphal argues "poor performance"... This won't end well for them.
People are rightly so expressing concern about PAU and Bynum but let me say this, I hope McHale regardless of who starts the game, puts Lee or/and T Will chasing and bothering Kobe and let K Mart rest on the D side of the ball by defending Barnes or World Peace when they are at the 3. We need KMart to explode for 30 in this game, I think we will have a lot of trouble scoring inside. I predict Scola to have a very hard game defending Gasol and scoring when posting up, he will still be money from mid range. I think Hill will have very limited time guarding Bynum, it will be all about Dalembert. I think Hill as proved in the past that he is actually very effective against LA specially guarding Gasol. If LA starts pounding us inside and getting advantage in the first half I see us go Dal and Hill for big mins against BYN and PAU, and Scola coming against the 2nd unit and completely murder them. These next 3 games are crucial for us, let´s start with the right foot.
MWP is going to post up him, play physical with him, there will be too much contact. Not a good choice for Martin who weights like a guard in WNBA
I feel like this is the type of game that the Rockets hired Kevin Mchale for. We have to be the toughest team on the floor in order to win.
Let him be, let World Peace beat you, I like my chances (not hating, but if you can get the ball out of Kobe, Pau and Bynum, you are winning, I don´t see MWP exploding for 20 against KM) I can see Kobe exploding for 30 against KM with KM "sucking" on Offence if he has to chase Kobe all game, we also play tomorrow
Thats my concern. Artest is more like a damn power forward these days and we don't have a small forward capable of stoping him if he gets them in the low post. I just hope Dally or Hill is there to help if Artest gets Lee, TWill or Bud in the blocks. Not so worried about Ron Ron from the outside, his game is far from what it was in his days at Indy. He still goes off occassionally but you cant count on it. Hopefully tonight will not be that occassional night his outside shot finds the bottom of the bucket.
Here is the interior of the mavs plane. Les needs to do something about the Rockets travel arrangements!
Hope the Rockets can have a good performance especially since this game won the NBATV fan night votes
When faced with having Kevin Martin having to guard Kobe, what you just wrote crossed my mind. I remember Jermaine Taylor having the game of his life after being summoned to do just that, for Terrence I'm not feeling it right now, he says he's poor+ hungry+ driven but those apply much more to that Jermaine Taylor than the Williams we've seen this year.
