It was hard to hold my tongue to the Penn Staters sitting next to me when the official got on the mic and said about the Penn State defender.... "There was no illegal touching on the play...."

Tony Levine said that HC at UH is his dream job. Sounds like someone who is in it for the long run. I like that and hope it remains true even if he ends up getting offers from elsewhere.

Forgot to mention how much I hate Dallas roadways. I can't stand the freeways, can't stand the highways, the mainways, byways or downtown streets. It's like someone put no consideration into building the damn place. Every time I have to drive to Oklahoma I zoom through Dallas like a madman.

I also hate that the Dallas Stub Hub location did not have a sign placed on the building's front door to use the underground parking garage.

    I hated the overpriced food.

I hated that when I opened the hotel bathroom door that it blocked the closet. I hated how the toilet at a $115 dollar hotel could not properly flush as well as a $60 Travel Lodge toilet.

I hated the parking garage's automated cahsier box. It took my $5 and never opened the gate. Spent my only other $5 which meant I had to find a frelling atm before I could park.

However, I did like how it looked in the rearview mirror. :p

Isn't living in fantasy land usually what it means to be a fan of a sports team? For now, I'll take it.

I'm surprised they put pedobear on the jumbotron for like a solid 10 seconds. Camera operator must not have known what that stood for.

It's his dream job right now. If he has success at UH, he will get offers to leave, and he will bolt if he thinks it's a better job. UH fans shouldn't feel bad though, because this is how it works at about 90% of all schools. Coaching is just like any other profession, most people are looking to move up the ladder. UH fans just need to hope that the next coaching change is because of continued success and not because the program taking a step backwards. Having coaches leave because they are successful is not all bad.

Now, for the game. In the first half it looked like a college team playing against a high school team. The offense was awesome, but the defense was very good also. I think the defense improved a lot as the season went on. It sure was a good start for the new head coach.

Went to the game it sat in section 21, pretty fun group...Wish there were more people but a great turnout nonetheless...Great day for football and was able to get cheap tickets right outside the gate...

Great win and to go 13-1 is pretty impressive...I do blame the lose on Sumlin for screwing around with leaving right before the COnf. Championship, as that affected our play, but that's in the past...

Thanks for the memories Case!!! Can't wait till next year...Go Coogs!

DC Brian Stewart has reportedly resigned to pursue other opportunities.

I'll say that Levine sounded very genuine in his desire to stay in Houston for a long time. But I do take these kinds of things with a grain of salt. Coaches at all levels lie their asses off all the time to appease the fans. You can never be 100% sure they're being level with you. I'm sure Levine does see this as a good job. Major university, a lot of recent success, huge recruiting base, moving to a BCS conference (and he wasn't going to get a HC gig anywhere else anytime soon). But he was definitely sugar coating it when he called it his "dream job". That doesn't mean he won't stay if he's successful, it just means he was laying it on pretty thick.

The one thing he mentioned that stood out was that he's been in the coaching game for awhile and is tired of uprooting his family and kids. He has a home here and wants this to be his final destination.

That did seem genuine, but you never know when the big boys come calling. But hopefully we've found ourselves a Chris Peterson or Gary Patterson.
