What's missing in T-Will's brain isn't something he will acquire with more playing time or with maturity. The guy has knucklehead DNA and I'm shocked that he is still a member of this team.
Rofl just read the last 3 pages of this thread and everyone is acting like they know this guy when in fact they are just talking out there asses. Take a Xanax and lets see where he is at the end of the season. He's not going to become a great player over night. I don't see all of you guys talking about Courtney Lee's twitter (yeah go check out how "ghetto" he speaks) and about how your god Marcus Morris can't stop jacking up 3's and clanking them. Calm down and carry on.
LOL, you made me go and actually read his twitter...doesn't sound much better than T-Will's, actually. Kind of surprising.
That's a given. It's already his 3rd season. We're trying to figure out if he's ever going to become a player or is he going to remain on permanent knucklehead status, the quintessential "great athlete" who just could not harness his brain matter into anything productive on the court.
I re-watched the game putting special attention on T-Will and didn't notice any of things the OP posted. On the contrary, he was one of the first to get up and cheer for his teammates in a couple of the plays.
I think he looked really good last night. He had very minimal stats but the team just played better with him out there. And he's not jacking up shots, he's being patient and practicing good shot selection. It seems like he's trying to get assists rather than hog the ball and that's a good sign for him. I just wish he would have played in the second half, at least reward him for his good play in the first half. Hopefully he gets more playing time with CLee out.
I agree. The Rockets best stretch was when T-Will was in the game. He is an athlete with pretty solid defensive play. Would rather see him take some of Bud's minutes.
We definitely looked better out there last night with him on the court. HE has been playing within himself, making plays, and playing solid defense.
Yes, he was very effective in the zone and he teased us with that drive to the basket for the And 1 play. Don't know why we didn't see him in the second half, especially when Courtney went down.
Williams is simply not a good NBA player. I don't care if he's athletic, he hasn't done anything to prove he can consistently play well at this level. Don't forget that he couldn't even start on a terrible NJ Nets team that challenged for the worst record in league history. I forget who said it first on this forum, but I'll repeat it here: It's time to stop calling him "T-Will." Names like that are for superstars. Right now, this guy is just "Williams."
