Time to man up “They’re better than they were a week ago,” McHale said. “We play, so they’d better be ready. If they’re not ready, they should tell me, ‘I’m not ready,’ so I won’t play them. As soon as they step on the floor, they’re going to be ready. They haven’t told me, ‘Don’t play me, Coach. I’m scared.’ If they do, I’ll let you know.” http://blog.chron.com/ultimaterocke...taste-of-what-might-have-been-against-lakers/ Quote of the year
All he's saying is no excuses which is good, he was a tough player so that's not the point. He's being truthful and hard on the guys, which he should be.
We're four games in! Check the record from last year four games in. Adelmans gone and its a little early to compare your current to your ex. Enjoy the ride a lil bit
Nothing fake about that. That is the Celtic coming out of him. He was a very tough-minded player. Wouldn't expect different from him coaching. He's tough-minded but he's in it with the players. He's one of them. I like his mental approach so far. Don't know about the x's and o's but all the psychological and mental stuff is good.
This sounds like a coach who is reasonable and knows what he is doing. I like what I see from him so far. besides, maybe that comment was meant for humor? I don't think any player in the NBA will go up to the coach and say 'I'm not ready'
When he was a coaching candidate I was hoping we got him but alot of people were hoping we didn't now there prolly on his side now
are you trying to compare them? that's insane...3 years as head coach vs 20 years or so 'trying to be the tough guy?' how do you know? RedRedemption, the ultimate troll of the GARM..
Yea also his analysis of Mchale attempting to be a tough guy is laughable. This current generation of NBA is all soft.......he would have tore up the league in this pansy generation of our beloved NBA.
McHale is a tough guy. Not Chris-Bosh tough. Not a fake tough guy. But, 80's-Celtics tough. Com'n, I'm 25 and know that.
you guys know that McHale continued to play the rest of the season after breaking his foot in the regular season right (Celtics went to the Finals that year)? seriously, lack of basketball knowledge on this forum astonishes me.
Adelman's results zero rings in 20 years of head coaching. Consistently bad defensive teams. If you want to win in the regular season Adelman is the guy if you want to win championships he is not.
