Eat em up ! This could get ugly as our kids knew Sumlin was leaving before Southern Miss and came out like one would expect under the circumstances. Today, we'll see Levine and UH roll into the future.
Regardless of what happens the rest of this game, this strong start almost frustrates me more thinking back what happened in the CUSA game. If there was any indication how unprepared and flat our guys were for that game, this game would be it. That said I love what I see so far!
Penn St. is missing their QB (not that their passing offense was great) so it's understandable why their offense is out of sync. But their defense is supposed to be good and UH is ripping them to shreds.
maybe should have been a celebration "into the end zone" penalty on Edwards? for that tiny bit early showboating arm motion just like the LSU penalty early in the year (stupid rule before crossing the line). <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/X2ivK1pt1aY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Glad to see the Coogs come out strong. Who can say what might have been. We had a terrible game against So. Miss but this is a terrific football team. Haters can say what they want, but I think this team could have given someone a game in the Sugar Bowl. Assuming the Big East keeps their AQ status, I think we are going to see some BCS action.....Boise and Houston might be the football powerhouses in that conference.
We'll see. UH has benefited greatly from having 2 great QBs in Kolb and Keenum. We saw how UH did last year without Case. Hopefully there's a QB on roster who's ready to take the reigns. If there isn't, who knows how UH will look in the future.
I think Piland is set to take over next year, but I could be wrong. It'll be interesting to see how they perform next season, with a lot of key starters gone. I'm hoping with a move to the Big East, they'll try to become a little bit more balanced and improve that defense, which itself is better than last year.
