Derrick Rose Chris Paul Deron Williams Kevin Durant Kobe Bryant Dwight Howard Lebron James Dwayne Wade Dirk Nowitzki Chris Bosh Which player doesn't belong?
Chris Bosh was not paid as a franchise player. He was paid as a max player with 6 years of experience under the CBA rules. Those are different concepts. And unless Toronto drafts a franchise player, they'll never have a chance to offer the max to any franchise player. Because no franchise player would take that money to play in Toronto through trade or FA. So the idea that Toronto would be "stuck" with Bosh at that money is pointless, because they could never sign a Durant or DWill with that money in the first place.
Lol...wut? I would rather pay Bosh $200 million than pay Bargnani. Grapes must be sour this time in Canada.
If they kept Bosh, they'd always be in the middle of the pack. Not good enough to be a contender, not bad enough to get high picks. Now that Bosh has left they can suck for a few years and get a chance to pick a real good player.
This is such a stupid statement I don't even know what to say. Toronto are currently paying $9+ mil to both Calderon and Bargnani in long term deals. They are paying Amir Johnson and Kleiza $5+ mil in long term deals. Yet somehow you believe that their long term health is not giving Bosh $16 mil that he's currently making?
Neither Barg nor Bosh is a franchise player, Bosh is like on the tier of Joe Johnson and Danny Granger. Barg is approaching that tier if he can keep on improving
Colangelo is full of s**t. He would gladly of given Bosh $126,000,000. Further, he would have gotten more than 2 mediocre #1's for him had he traded him. He just believed that Bosh would stay in Toronto. Now that Bosh is a third wheel in Toronto, and his statistics are down, he is going to pile on. If the Heat decided to move him tomorrow, there would be a number of suitors that would offer quite a bit.
If you want to say Bosh is not as good as Kobe, LeBron, or Wade, ok I can agree with that. However, he did show he was capable of being the #1 option on a team that can compete at very high levels. The problem in Toronto was not Bosh, it was the other 14 roster spots. Oh and guess who is responsible for filling those spots...maybe you could not get any good offers because you are incompetent daddy's boy. What has he done in Toronto to even justify his continued employment besides being shot out of the right penis?
Bosh is better than Johnson and Granger..... and Barg is not near the level of Bosh, or Granger or Johnson. Barg does not play inside, he does not draw fouls, he is not a high % shooter or scorer. He is a very mediocre player getting a high volume of minutes and shots.
