is it karma if we had won this game, and lost next week to a different opponent? what difference does that make? their performance today has no bearing on how they play next week. we could have drummed the Titans and still get dominated next week by someone else.
What he's saying is that because the Texans are not proven champions, they don't have the right to employ this particular strategy, even if they believe it's the proper strategy. It is utgrad97's belief that the Texans, in doing so, have broken the "not allowed to employ all strategies unless you are a proven champion" law, and will be penalized by forfeiting 3 picks in the upcoming NFL draft.
After some thought, if we play the titans, I'm glad we lost. If we won, our guys would think "we beat these guys with the end of our bench, this will be a walk in the park." Now they will at least be motivated to cream these guys.
UTgrad, have you seen simpson and greene? I want no part of those two. Not saying the Titans are easier because it's the NFL and anything can happen. I think you'll see manning back at kickreturner as soon as the coin is flipped in the air. AJ will play all game and this dude with the #23 jersey will suit up. put the regular season behind you and enjoy the playoffs. I was in the 6th grade the last time our nfl team was in the playoffs.
There is poll up on Houston Chronicle.com. The overwhelming majority of the several thousand fans that voted is that the Texans will lose in the first round of the playoffs. Green Bay and New Orleans had nothing to play for today BUT they both won. Why? Because like one of the greatest coaches of all time once said, winning and losing are habits. Bet you the Packers and the Saints will be in the NFC finals and one of them will go to the Super Bowl.
Couch Lombardis are some of the dumbest people on earth. If you translated your commitment to excellence (for others, of course) in real life then maybe you would accomplish something. There is nothing to b**** about from this game.
Green Bay and New Orleans don't have nearly as many players on IR as we do. Who cares what they did today?
New Orleans could have gotten a first round bye if San Fransisco had lost. Green Bay rested some of their starters including Aaron Rodgers. But yeah it would have been nice to get this one.
Good for them. Bet they don't have near the injuries we have had this year. I think the key for this game was to get a little confidence back, clean up the play and don't lose any more players to injury. Success. Seem to recall the Vikings struggling down the stretch after a great start a few seasons ago. A little concern they would carry their issues into the playoffs. Yet they were a Brett Favre interception away from the Super Bowl. I also remember the Pats playing their starters against us a few seasons ago and losing Welker for the playoffs.
Text Kubs this mess...cant wait til 330 mon presser. Same BS. Kid played good meaning kareem....guys were banged up......yada yada yada
According to the announcers we had also never lost the last game under Kubes, history don't mean squat. Tenn can't touch us.
By the by, Delhome looked nice, made smart vet plays like throwing it out of bounds when TJ would have crumpled.
I heard a very interesting quote by jake delhombre. "I've learned more in this game than in the past four weeks. I've learned the most i have learned in my life these past four weeks." :insert eye blinking smiley:
These are the same yokels that call in to sports radio stations and had no idea that our starting linemen sat out the 4th (mainly because they couldn't name more than 2 of them from both sides of the ball combined) Treating this like a preseason game was the smart call. No sense exposing guys to injury. How f***ed would we be if Joseph turned an ankle? I was angry at how he approached the Colts, but not how Kubiak coached this game.
