I remember how we are in the playoffs and that we needed to rest everybody considering the massive injuries . . .
One of our tight-ends (Driessen?) jumps offside on the 2 point try. If we care about the game even a little we go ahead and kick the XP and try to win in overtime. Clearly we don't and the 3rd string center panics and snaps the ball about 20 yards over Delhomme's head. I guess if you wanted to be a conspiracy theorist you could make up one. But I just assume that guys not used to being in there with the game on the line didn't get it done. No big deal...if we have to play these clowns again we will beat them....barring and epic melt-down or choke job.
BS. No game in the NFL is meaningless. Like I said, winners play to win all the time. The Texans have never won, so tanking games to rest players is ****ing stupid. You haven't earned that right.
what do you think Kubiak did when he decided to go for 2? how much else is he supposed to play to win? kicking a EP isn't playing to win.
My issue....HISTORY. EVERY YEAR WE HAVE A 4 GAME LOSING STREAK. Does that happen again?? Rocket River
I just found the best silver lining to this game. We could move up 3 spots in the draft with the loss. The Lions have 10 wins and are winning. The Bengals and Falcons have a shot to win 10. I'm fairly certain that we have the easiest SOS out of the group which would mean that we get the higher pick.
Because they probably didn't want a useless injury in a game that had no bearing on our playoff picture.
Funny I bet the Bengals had this same idea when they tanked the last game and left us out so they could see the jets again. Bad Karma then and bad karma now.
Wasn't about resting them - it was about protecting them from possible injury. And it was absolutely the right call. Even with our second string facing their starters playing for their season, they only squeaked out by a point....and even that was thanks to Dreesen and our (backup?) center freaking out at the end.
