I cheered him when he came back from his BS micro fracture. I was happy and hopeful. Then he decided 8 minutes was not enough for his DIVA ASS. So f him. He quit. End of story.
He could've done things differently. You wonder why he gets boo'd from every other city he's played for. Check his bi-polar stats and comments; It doesn't make it right, but it is what it is.
can this thread die please? my simple question was answered, but it ended up being a whole bunch of whining people crying about tmac
I was there too. Their was definitely booing. Not crazy out of control booing, but certainly it was there. I agree...whatever issues folks might have with the man, he did have some great moments here. I think its time to let it go and move on.
This is exactly, 100% correct. Tmac's playoff numbers are historic. He put his heart and soul into that last series with Utah and Yao couldn't even get a rebound to seal game 7.
Its really pathetic that people boo-ed him. You people may enjoy Lowry, Francis, Mobley, Scola or whatever...Heck I like them too, but the most I enjoyed was when we were relevant in the NBA, and that happened when he was on our team. Sure the way things went down was not ideal, but contender status for the years before that built up enough cred to forgive for me. Not to mention the millions of dollars of charity work in and around Houston/Darfur. More good than every person on this forum combined probably. We really do have the worst fan base in the NBA.
No. I don't think we had the worst fan base but I agree people shouldn't do this. They have the right to choose though. I just believe the majority are emulating what has happened in Orlando and Toronto. They believe he criticized teammates, pulled surgeries and quit there too. That is WRONG. He left each franchise for different reasons. Toronto - he left because he wanted to step out of the Shadow of Vinsanity Orlando - had some arguments with the front office Houston - ya burned bridges, couldn't communicate with Adelman, that was bad
Toronto - Nothing wrong with that. Nobody wants to play in Toronto. Orlando - They never gave him much help. He was an absolute assassin in that first round series against Detroit when he was with Orlando. It's one of the greatest playoff performances of all time. Houston - Idiot doctors (Dr. Clanton, lol) said he wasn't really hurt. He couldn't move, he couldn't jump, HE COULDN'T EVEN DUNK THE BALL - and there are still some people here like DaDumb Dakota who think Tmac got micro fracture surgery for no reason. His back was horrible here, he carried this team and added super star excitement to this city like we haven't seen before since Dream. He took us on a 22 freaking game win streak, he terrorized the mavs in that first round 3 vs 6 matchup until sura, jon berry, mike james, RYAN BOWEN and the scrubs we put around him melted down and that was just so pathetic and sad that we didn't win that series, the refs also screwed us. THAT IS NOT TMACS FAULT. The guy was a warrior for us and he wasn't appreciated. I Love Tmac and it just makes me sick to hear that some of you morons boo'd him.
I am embarrassed by how many rockets fans boo tmac...this guy loved the rockets and was a superstar...rockets fans wonder why superstar players don't wanna play, how bout looking at how tmac has been treated by coaching and fans...Ming is looked at in a completely different light, tell me how when he missed more games than tmac? Tmac had a home in Houston and family (don't know if still does but did last year).. How would u feel being booed at a place u loved a place that u live/lived... I an a die hard rockets fan but when I hear tmac being booed I wish there was a way I could be a fan of a different team
