So, a top 5 point guard is worth giving up for a big man of bynum's potential who also has t-mac's injury potential.
Westbrook is averaging 5.5 assists and 6.3 turnovers so far this year. Nice ratio there... The next Steve Francis or Stephon Marbury? Hmmm....
Watching Kyle Lowry is a thing of beauty. He hasn't scored a single point tonight but he's showing exactly how to play the Point Guard position to perfection. PASS 1st and shoot 2nd and play tough D. He's running the team like a well oiled machine. Not sure if Westbrook understands that concept.
I wish people would watch the Thunder play more before passing judgment on Westbrook. The issue with his lack of assist is the team offense. The starting lineup for the Thunder doesn't have any scoring options outside of Westbrook and Durant.
Jesus Christ, I think they're playing this game in slow motion. Credit to our team for having enough energy to finish this game off.
Are you kidding me? They have the most prolific scorer in the game in Durant and then they have another player capable of putting in 20 a night in Harden and they have big men who should be fed easy buckets. It's Westbrook who can't distribute properly.
capable and actually doing it are 2 different things. nick young is capable of putting up 30 points a night but doing it is a different story.
Hell Noooo to this trade. Lowry is much better player than westbrook. Lowry is a true pointguard and he is locked up for another few years. Westbrook is a free agent after this season I believe.
My point is if the Thunder have a PG that can pass 1st such as Rondo or Lowry then Harden could score 20 points a night easily. He'll get there soon enough either way cause he's a good player.
I haven't seen a whole lot of Westbrook, but I'm watching him now and listening to the Suns' announcers, and the guy seems to have some anger/maturity issues. Real sulky and passive aggressive. Serge Ibaka was trying to get on the same page, and right in the middle of what he was saying, Westbrook turned around and walked away from Ibaka with a look on his face like Ibaka had just offered him a turd sandwich. He didn't even say a thing, just got angry and left Ibaka hanging mid sentence. And apparently that is entirely in character for him? I think anybody who gives up anything at all for him is taking an awfully big risk. A big Westbrook trade could turn out to be a job killer for whichever GM gives up anything of value for him.
