Worst Thread Ever; and you do not know anything. Have you been a fan of the Rockets starting this year? Adelman rarely played rookies. JVG was worse. Why do you think our "assets" have no value??? BECAUSE THEY NEVER PLAYED UNLESS THERE WAS 30 SECONDS LEFT IN THE GAME AND WE WERE EITHER UP OR LOSING BY 30 POINTS.

    C'mon man

If it was Adelman the rookies would have got 0 minutes.

I was actually encouraged about the amount of time the younger group got.

And it was right to limit Morris. He was like a headless chicken out there, 2 fast fouls as well.

Younger players have to earn the right to play more than garbage minutes unless there are injuries.

I highly doubt the Rockets have somehow managed to find the only coaches in the league that manage this way.

    are you serious?
at least Hill and TWill get playing time
if it's Adelman he would start Dalembert and Miller come off the bench
    Lee would play backup SF

Most coaches don't rush to play rookies big minutes unless they are Top 1-2 picks!! I do think Morris could end up with Danny Granger like potential! Very smooth player.

ok gues how many minutes did Patrick Patterson get in his first season before new year?
If you guessed 32 you are correct (and 25 of those were on new years eve against Toronto).

It is clear that Adelman doesn't hate his rookies but Mchale does.

    1) Adelman last year barely played rookies unless forced to. Shoot, on top of that he only played proven players. (trade RA then trade Brooks) (trade Battier)

    2) Adelman this year only has rookies! (with a couple exceptions)

    3) First game, finding everyones role, only had 2 preseason games, not enough.

    4) Does Parsons even know 1 play book play?

Normally, rookies have a whole summer as well as summer league and 5 pre-season games to well prepare themselves to the NBA. This year however, thanks for the lockout, Morris and Parsons aren't quite ready just yet.

    About the last game really...
Missing defensive assignments, bad decision making and poor shoot selection weren't going to earn him more than 10 min of playing time :(

Why did Morey draft Morris, if McHale's not going to play him?

Morris is still in McHale's doghouse with Adrien.

Overreacting...........A normal rotation consists of 8-9 players, maximum 10

Adelman's system was great for rookie development. Mchale doesnt seem to know what the hell he's doing with his rookies. Parson gets more minutes than Morris?

Throwing rookies out there in the fire too fast can ruin their career. Plus, almost every rookie we had thrived in Adelman's system.

This myth only exist on clutchfans

Why can't he get in the rotation if he was our top pick in last year's draft. Patterson was part of rotation, last season and he was a rookie. Budinger was a 6th man in his rookie season and starter in his 2nd season. Morris could be better than Budinger.

I think they want to give Chase more time......I don't really know I think they give him 10 to 15 games. Normally you don't start the rookie unless there's a severe injury of the starter or he is a detriment to this team.
Budinger while playing sub par has not been a cancer, or disrupting the chemistry so far because there is hardly any chemistry.

I dont know yet. I think he is experimenting right now early in the season. His lineups suggest either each night will be a mystery for the first few weeks if not the entire year.

...yes unless they are from Minnesota and/or Vikings fans. We have 12 guys fans of Adrian Peterson on this team with Flynn being the biggest fan of all.

I think it's been said that the rookies will slowly be slowly put into the rotations. (can't remember where I heard it). Besides, your first sentence was being said last year about pat. Remember how he was hardly used and sent to the d league until the 2nd half of the season?

I don't remember that at all. He was already in the rotation, the same time last year. Patterson got about 25 minutes, exactly a year ago.

You might be thinking about his starter role. He was in the 2nd unit, but he didn't start until March. He started for a few games, after Scola was injured. Then, he went back to the 2nd unit.
