Well, that was ugly. Wow, Flynn really looks awful. Bud has virtually disappeared. What happened to Thabeet again, does not travel with the team?

No. I think I said inconsistent. I always have been in favor of making moves to improve or to rebuild. I certainly never thought they would improve dramatically as they are. In fact they never will improve dramatically as they run things currently.

    Sure thing

Generally you'd be able to offer SOME kind of rationale for something like that. But NOW, the fact that there's no real explanation for it I think shows how green McHale and some of the coaching is, along with the younger players figuring their role

Simpler words: No one knows what the hell they're doing right now.

Welcome to the mediocrity treadmill folks...You're up one day and then you're down the next, but in the end you get nowhere because you're right back where you started.

    Morris actually thinks he's Carmelo

I thought Scola was having trouble getting open against Marc Gasol, who matches up against Scola extremely well, and that's why he didn't get the ball.

This might have been answered, but when we had the comeback with Parsons, why the hell would McHale keep Scola in when he was just sucking major ass? Why didn't he come back with Dalembert or hell, Jordan "I can't play at all" Hill?

I saw Scola asking for the ball numerous times and watching the ball being passed to the perimeter, where a shot was usually missed. I don't care who's guarding Luis... no way he should have three freakin' shot attempts! (he made 2 of those, btw)

Bud = D- ; When his shot is not on, he is absolutely useless. His defense is also marginal ~ terrible. Absolutely no reason for him to start except that we don't have a real clear solution. PLEASE MOREY GET US A QUALITY SF!!!

Scola = D+ ; severely outplayed by Gasol. Effort is still there but rendered ineffective throughout the whole game and never could find his rhythm. Worst game I've seen from him ever, which is why I can give him a pass because rest assured this won't happen again for a very, very long time.

Hill = D ; can't start because gets into foul trouble waaaay too early and it messes up the rotations. should not ever be given a post up because he loses the ball 9/10 times or turns it over the other time. He needs to come off bench to look better against opponent's bench and then Morey should trade him for the most he can get if stock ever rises.

Martin = B- ; can't really blame him for his offensive efficiency. defensive lapses a couple times but overall can keep the scoreboard rolling.

Lowry = B+ ; the only guy who came to play tonight. no body deserved an 'A' tonight, but Lowry is the most consistent player on our team. He pretty much abused all of memphis' guards.

Dalembert = C ; even he couldn't cover for all the defensive mistakes.

Patterson = D ; was terrible tonight but does not get F because he tries hard and it's his first game back. maybe rushed a little bit, injury still bothering him?

Morris = D ; speed of game is too much for him. was not good on defense when guarding smaller guys which is worrysome. posted up once but missed the shot. does not play very big like his twin brother.

Lee = C+ ; shows his flaws when asked to do too much. effort and defense is always there though which is why he deserves the starting nod over budinger.

Parsons = C+ ; active and plays smart. versatile on court. makes rookie mistakes but can live with that. definitely shows that he is really doing well in practices. is he a good enough shooter/defender to try at the SF spot?

Dragic = C- ; we always know there's two sides to dragon. wild and not very effective vs postive chaos. today he was not helpful to the team.

Flynn = D- ; if he was a no-name person trying to make the league, i am convinced that he would not. is supposed to be speedy but cannot get past anyone. plays possibly worst defense on team because not only physically limited but also does not seem to even try. i would much rather have lin or ish or my grandmother running the point. DO NOT WANT!

Twil = D ; when team or self is doing bad, then attitude and body language is piss poor. does not seem to care when times go bad. is content to just pass the ball around. i don't think he will ever figure it out sadly to say.

Rockets overall : team did not put very much effort which is unexcusable and should not ever be tolerated. i would rather play a bunch of d-leaguers as long as they hustle. mchale needs to bench everyone who did not play hard this game to make a point.

I still think that this is a very good team pushing for the 7-8 spot in the crowded west, but just a few games are enough for me to know who should be kept and who should be given the boot.

I thought Memphis Defense was great and they got a lot of help from the officials. We played well in the first half but we keep getting called for ticky tack fouls. Martin, Lowry, Parsons played well. Good effort from Courtney Lee. We were a step slower than the Memphis. Rockets 1-2 after 3 games. Hopefully we can beat T-mac and the Hawks here at home. Go Rockets..

I'm thinking to rest him for tomorrow.
That doesn't explain why McHale keeps putting Scola at the 5 with a soft 4(respect to CP25, I like his game.)

C-Bud is a nice shooter but he needs to come off the bench. First play of the game for the Grizzles (Rudy Gay scoring) and commentators were asking "Where's Bud?"

It was one of those nights because it seems every bounce went their (Memphis) way and every call was against us (look at the free throw attempts). Memphis was hitting some difficult shots in the first half especially Randolph.
