I am not sure who McHale will play but he seems to be willing to try just about anyone in a matchup situation.

I hope he can manage it, but to me it looks like a building chemical spill.

Actually I think it's a good thing. Even with a full off-season and pre-season RA typically went into the regular season before he settled on a rotation. I think it has to be expected that McHale will need time to figure out his rotations as well. Ad to the fact that extra people will be getting extended minutes just because all coaches Across the league (or the smart ones at least) are trying to conserve legs in this compacted season and his rotations may very from night to night anyway.

Luckily McHale did a solid job distributing minutes last night. We shouldn't be too tired.

Lookin' for another Rox win... I've got a feeling T-Will's gonna show us all something tonight.

I don't see how making rookies compete playing time is going to build up to any issues. They're rookies, they'll take what they get and if they get nothing they won't complain about it because they're rookies.

The other guys, yeah, if it were another season I'd say we need a tighter rotation too. But something about this year makes me feel like all the players will understand if they're not getting their full workload on any given night. Because the next night, who knows? There's more than one game every two days this year, it's a good excuse to have a huge rotation with fewer minutes for everyone.

The post is pretty evenly matched, but the key is to not have T-will and Dragic on the floor at the same time and either Lee, T-will, or Bud must defend Gay well. Kyle will continue his dominance.

I haven't been this excited and had a good feeling about our team since the Rox 20+ win streak. The guys are playing much much better help defense. They play together and I can sense that if PPat comes back and solidifies our front-line then we will definitely be a really good team.
Lowry is the man. He made a believer out of me. He is really pushing the edge of elite point guard status. If he remains healthy this year, I am almost glad that we kept him vs CP3 and I am a HUGE fan of CP3.

Regarding today's game... Lowry usually destroys Memphis. Hopefully Martin can continue his shooting barrage. Zbo's offense is somewhat negated by what Scola probably does to him on defense. The only person that really might bust out on us is Gay and that is because I hate the vs Bud matchup. Bud needs to step it up or will risk losing his starting role, which would be better since he is more effective against 2nd unit players.
Dalembert/Scola/Twill/Martin/Lowry is a much better and balanced starting 5 with Hill/PPat/Bud/Lee/Dragic as the best 2nd unit in basketball backing them up.
Parsons is a baller. He is ready to contribute now. I really want Marcus to post up guys at the 3.

Anyone else thinks everyone in Memphis wants a redo on the Lowry trade? I don't think anyone would grade Mike Conley as high as Lowry.

I am mostly concerned about the guys whose contracts are up, you saw how badly AB reacted when he got fewer minutes and his value dropped after being injured.

We have that scenario exactly with:

    TWill
    CBud
    Flynn
    Thabeet
    JHill

Those guys will all want to increase their value and may start worrying about stats over wins.

I just think it is one big old chemistry disaster waiting to happen.

Those guys also all played like crap last year, so it's not necessarily a contract issue.

    Hopefully it just motivates them.

They had a case of judging a player based on potential rather than ability. I remember Lowry always driving on the rockets and getting to the line. It kept pissing me off, but he would get taken out early.

I remember when we traded rafer for him and everyone wanted to punch some babies.

The Grizz are a very solid rebounding team, outrebounded the Thunder...
I hope we do better on the defensive glass

Anyone know if there is something wrong lowry's knee? Saw him putting ice on it and he started wearing a (knee pad?). Or is it just a safety precaution.

I hope it's just a precaution. I know that icing your joints after a work out is the best way to prevent tendentious.

Yep there were a lot of Rafer appologists here. I was not one of them and rejoiced the day Rafer was gone :)
