Why? It's okay to showboat if you make a great play, showboating after half a great play makes you a Von Wafer level bonehead. What's so hard to understand about that?

Not making excuses. Not saying he is a great player. Not saying he should start.

I am saying "nobody cares if he ducks and puts his arms out after making a good pass"

You are fixated on this notion that I think Twill is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Relax, we won the game.

If it was ok for Deke to wag his finger at players, then why did the NBA start giving him technicals for it? you're logic is flawed.

What kind of retort is this? You added nothing of value to this thread (or whatever argument you're trying to make).

DD is right. I was at the game last night and noticed a few times that after making a good play, or thinking he made a good play, he would "showboat" and miss locating his guy on defense once he realized the Spurs were already running back on offense.

The dude has talent, there's no question. But you need a mature attitude to with that talent to make it all work in the NBA.

If I was one on one with Twilly? WHO THE **** CARES ABOUT THAT?

This is fans talking about basketball, and Twill is making the same STUPID decisions that got him sent to Houston, and then in Rick Adelman's dog house.....

He is still not focusing completely on basketball and more on "Look at me"

And that will put his butt back on the bench and his dumbass fans will continue to blame everyone else but the fool that is the problem.

He needs to stop playing court jester, and start playing the king !

Haha you guys act like he made a pass, started popping his collar, and jumped on the scores table with his hands in the air. He made the pass, crouched down and ran down the court. Relax.

Let's talk about real stuff now. Does anyone find it offensive that Kmart semi picks his nose every time he hits a bucket. Germs people, it's not right.

There are two T-Will's: Offense and defense.

On defense, he looks fine. Has the skill set to be a plus defender and will with minutes. He is generally good on the defensive boards.

On offense, he looks impatient, antsy, itchy to contribute, to make a play, a highlight, anything. He has the look of a guy that thinks he is starting calibur material and desperately wants to make an impression.

He looks anxious when he doesn't have the ball, and keeps looking for it, instead of moving in the flow of the offense. He looks like he is worried that his seconds/minutes on the court are ticking down and he's not wowing the coaching staff or making a play. So, when he gets the ball, he keeps it. He dribbles too much, probes and then makes some bad decisions because he is trying too hard to impact the game.

I think McHale gets this and will keep giving him minutes. I'd go so far as to say that McHale needs to tell Twill to calm down and that he's going to get minutes if he just plays defense and let the offense come to him. In time, Twill will realize that his minutes are not going to evaporate and he can "let the game come to him." If the ball doesn't come his way in the first 5 minutes he is subbed in, he doesnt' have to press, dribble drive out o control, or jack up a bad shot.

Jopat or someone posted that TWill and Goran are a bad combo. I agree. Their games are incompatible. I'd like to deal Goran for a future asset, throw away Jonny Flynn, and bring in a Jeremy Lin or Ish Smith type. TWill needs to be developed. We know what Goran is.

Funny, I started out by talking about his lack of aggression, stating he needs to attack the rim.

3rd grade reading comprehension doesn't get you very far in an argument DD.

That's not showboating dummy. He had confidence that Lee made the shot, Oh wait let me showboat off that sweet pass I made instead of the dunk or layup over two defenders.

I swear you're the biggest one on here that puts down every player at the position of your most recent favorite player. You don't hope anyone but Budinger becomes an all-star because you choose him. This is just so damn idiotic.

Before u start Brown Nosin' "I Can Care Less About My Value On This Thread" But When Dumbasses bash a player for no reason I Tend to take it to heart. It's not like T-Will becoming a problem or nothing, so why bash the dude head in? I know the real reason why yall hate Twill And Love Yall Sum Bud, but im not going to go in on that. DD on the other hand is an ass and I disagree with everything he stands for, DD GO BE A JAZZ FAN! I might love to hate you more!

Back on the bench, how? Dude did nothing wrong. If T-will was a Superstar nobody would care bout what emotion he choose to show as long as he put up points and win

Finally, somebody who watches the games actually sees what is going on. No excuse for ducking out of a play to showboat. That earns pine time not prime time! If he realizes his minutes are there and relaxes on offense, he will be fine!! Attack the rim TWill and good things will happen!!

Oh, so you're child... I see.

    Brown nosing:
I rarely post on this board (I have no favorites), but the person who made a valid point (DD) is right here IMO. I can't say someone else made the good point.

    Bashing for no reason:
I think a lot of people here see the potential in Williams. This is a good thing, just pay attention... So it becomes frustrating to see him act childish and run the risk of ruining his NBA career. There's proof of this too. New Jersey didn't want him -> He was in Adelman's "dog house" -> now he's on chance #3. We don't want him to blow it.

    Bud:
Love the guy, but if Williams can be as mature as him, Williams will end up being the better player no doubt.

All of twills passes haven't been better than the system. I like him more when he shoots than when tries to force a pass. Take that open 3 and patent a mid range jumper.

For the record, I would love it if TWill took Bud's job, it would mean he is playing better than him.

But it is the very fact that TWill plays stupid on the basketball court that has kept him glued to the bench for 2 solid years.

And, that one play I highlighted is just another example of his idiocy, let's hope he grows up and matures and realizes how to play WINNING basketball, where he helps the TEAM win and doesn't just worry about how he looks to the crowd or camera.
