You really think the old bodies can hold up 36-40 minutes.....and they keep their production of years ago Just call it a day....until playoff comes around.....
No, once again, I'm not making predictions. I'm just doing statistics. A team that won 61 games last year and a team that started 2-0 this year coming into this game is among the top teams out of a league of 30 teams, 6 divisions and 2 conferences.
How many top teams do you have in the West and East..... and what does top team mean to you.....contending or not contending?
Then I correct myself I would love to see the Rockets defense go against super friend contenders the likes of Miami and the Thunder, Clippers are unproven......
Top teams, teams that make the playoffs with winning records and teams that are considered significantly better with key acquisitions. Top teams doesn't mean title contenders, but title contenders are in the pool of top teams. Then again, any team that makes the playoffs has a chance to win the title. A lower seed team can win the title, but you have to dig deeper on why that would happen. For example, the Rockets were the 6th seed in 95. The reason for the bad record was that Dream was out most of the season with injury and we had a major trade.
argument? if this were an argument.. that guy daywalker is right to walk away.. he clearly lost...he's clearly not top 3 in the argument game... an argument which he clearly solicited...mch like every other post of his... a top 3 candidate for the ignore list...
No he is not a star but what many of us have been trying to convince so many non believers is that what Dally does so well (Shot blocking and rebounding) are exactly what the Rockets needed worst of all. Not saying that the Rockets are suddenly going to challenge for an NBA championship this season but I have tried to convince people all along that Dally would have the same type of impact on the Rockets the Chandler had on the Mavericks.
SAS had the 2nd best record in the league last season. Tim Duncan is still one of the better bigs in the league and as long as Pops coaches that team they will have one of the better defenses in the league. Now just because the Rockets beat them they are no longer one of the top teams in the league? Nothing wrong with wanting to see more before you commit but making that statement is just refusing to give the Rockets credit.
Perhaps you should try reading the part I have highlighted for you since your reading and comprehension skills seem to be lacking. Why did I know that some idiot would try to make something out of my post that was not there. coachbadlee, that someone turned out to be you. You need to change your name to 'readbadlee'.
I thought height didn't matter? Well, it does especially when you get closer to the rim. The rockets could've traded yao for dally last year and for some reason they passed it up. I like him short term and truthfully, hill should be backing up scola, not sam. Sam only plays about 25 minutes a night, the other 24 should go to thabeet.
Because what your typing is taking credit away from the Rockets. That is not being a good fan at all. Neg Rep for you.
Once he gells with the players and understands the plays we run, he will easily be a 10 points 9 boards 2 blocks a game type baller. Great pickup.
I'd rather think it's refusing to give the Spurs credit. I meant contender ok? 61 games.....they had McDyess and other players that stepped up.... Well, did not say Duncan wasn't a superstar or allstar.......said he produced poorly so far.....and is not getting younger Against us 4 pts 1 rb.... against Clippers 10 pts 8 rbs....which is mediocre for his standards against Memphis 10 pts 6 rbs ..... Remember he was once a 26 pts 13 rbs player and he is a shadow of himself I was actually surprised that they played great basketball against the Clips I am just not sold on the likes of Blair, Splitter, Leonard, Neal, Bonner and what their names are......to produce at a very high level consistently
And you should call yourself "crashingn2myself". At one point you say they are not a championship team, but then turn around and say that "the Dally aquisition will do for the Rockets what the Tyson Chandler aquisition did for Dallas. It shows that Chandler made them a championship team.
