He was injured for a part of the streak. The passing game the team developed when he was out was what was responsible for it. Yao contributed more.

 

He literally missed just one game of the streak, the first game.

And mathematically speaking, Tracy contributed to 21 wins in the streak, Yao contributed to 12. Tracy was the leading scorer in more games than Yao even played.

This is the perfect example of what I was talking about. People try to take all of the credit away from Tracy when the team wins, but I'm sure they'd be the first to place all the blame on him when the team loses.

I'm not even saying that it was all Tracy. The emergence of Landry and Scola were huge factors, as was Yao's play for the first half of the streak. It was a team accomplishment, but Tracy was the leader...statistically speaking or otherwise.

Normally I wouldn't even bother replying at this point, but your green thingies tell me that you're a reputable poster so perhaps a civilized exchange may occur.

And I know this is coming so just let me get it out of the way, ahem. You wanna talk about something Tracy had no part of? Us getting out of the first round. (Though this is still technically inaccurate as he contributed to the playoff seeding...but I digress. )

 

YOF bashing tmac to propup yao. how sad. Tmac missed the first few of the streak. Yao missed almost half of the streak. yao missed 10 games of the 22 game streak.

 

^I see. No objections from me. I thought my memory of it was reliable. I think it was because he was scoring less that made it seem that way.

 

It happens, I had to double-check some of the stats myself. Hard to think it's already been almost 4 years.

 

TMac in his prime made bad role players look a lot better than they were

Tracy McGrady highlights = free throws and other players getting fouled and getting called for travelling and a slow-motion crossover followed by a missed jump shot.

HIGHLIGHTS!

 

The Key will be how he performs by mid season.Hopefully his body can hold up. For the vet minimum he is a bargin.

 

By next year, he will be a max deal. Book it!

 

I like mcgrady in the sec unit as long as they r running the offense through him he should reach his max potential

It wasnt a highlight packiage. It was his every possession good and bad. Some people here are mentally slow.

I watched every game of that 22 game winning streak and there is no way in hell yao contributed more since he didn't play for half the streak. Tmac had to play 48 minutes for a few games for our team to win.

During the streak he averaged 38minutes 22 points 5 rebounds 6 assists.

 

I hope tmac stays in sec unit because he is the primary option
