Could anyone reccomend a good places to grab some happy hour around the Toyata center area before today's game? Somewhere I can take my girl to and have a couple of reasonably priced drinks and appetizers, then go to the Toyota center an act like a 12 dollar well doesn't hurt my wallet, or pride.

Flying Saucer is the best bar in downtown IMO. Though it's a decent hike to the TC...

Isn't there a McDonald's somewhere around there? Show her you're not afraid to throw down on the dollar menu... Do that and you'll get in her pants. ;)

Ditto, there's that chinese food place across the street from the parking garage too, we went in there once and they had some good happy hour prices.

That's where I go. China Garden. And if you pay an extra $5 you can park your car there for the game.

The House of Blues is in walking distance. Nothing special but my father and I have gone there several times before games.

Not sure of the story on why it went out of business. Probably economy. Money stuff.

Sometimes, when I walk pass and I see them grilling food, I tell them I'm a slut, give me a cheeseburger.

yea I would imagine a combination of the strike and our gradually diminishing fan base did them in.
I can't imagine that place getting any business outside of game nights, partially due to their alcohol basically costing as much as it does inside the TC.

The happy hour menu looks pretty good. Will have to check that out next time I go to a game.

Wow didn't know The Bus had gone under, that sucks, that's where we usually went for a pre & post Game drink when we were in town.
