VY looked like the only Eagle who really wanted to win the game.

An excuse for one pick doesn't make the other 3 any easier to swallow, especially if one was returned for a TD.
Tarvaris was solid, and is playing through a pec tear. Solid means what for a qb, consistent? Completions are solid when they're not badly read, short armed or intercepted, and connecting at <60%?
Is this because he was emotional on the sideline? Shady kept the team afloat. VY looked like he wanted the win so badly because he sealed the loss. McCoy was first and foremost the one who played like he wanted that win.

Cold hard facts are that if you're not a competent NFL quarterback by your sixth year, you never will be...

Vince has thrown an interception every 12.9 pass attempts. Yikes.

See this is not very fair. You can say he didn't play well. But If riley cooper makes that catch which he should have made and they get a touchdown its a completely different game. Just like last week if djax catches those two TD which hit his hands the game would be completely different. Instead it goes right through riley coopers hands and its an interception they go down the field and score and pretty much its game over at that point.

VY last two years as a started he put up a better numbers than Tarvaris jackson. So I don't even know what comparison you are making. VY didn't play well, but don't arguments that aren't supported by facts.

Vince Young has played better than his stats, but it has still been a terrible time in Philly.

What, did he cry on the sidelines or something when they lost?

    1. Because if he plays at even an average level (unlikely given his skillset, but even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while) Houston sports talk radio becomes impossible to listen to because every third caller talks about how horribly the Texans erred in not drafting him....some even mutter about there being some kind of curse on the franchise because we didn't draft him.

    2. When he performs badly he often melts down in an entertaining fashion.

    3. His loving, dedicated fans on this site, who if he performs badly and wins attributes it all to his leadership and intangibles and if he performs badly and loses make wild excuses blaming it on the rest of his team for failing to properly absorb the "Vince magic" even if he throws 4 picks one a pick 6 at the most critical juncture of the game. I would say what his fans do when he plays well and loses and plays well and wins, but it's been so long I have forgotten (o.k he played semi-well last week...by his standards).

    4. Yes, I hate UT and hate the Titans....but Vince would be difficult for me to like under any circumstances, he overrates his own ability, whines relentlessly. They get onto Cutler about his "body language" well Baby Vince looked like he was going to have a "temper-fit" on the sideline after that last pick.

Anyway, hopefully Vick uses the extra time to get healthy so Vince is back to the bench where he belongs.

Geez, I can tell how you feel about VY by the length of your post.

    Reason for hatred:

    1. He's average but he has fans
    2. Train wrecks are fun to watch
    3. He has loud fanboys (due to no fault of his own)
    4. Shows emotion when losing

    Got you.

Average? His 60.8 QBR ranks him below #33 in the league Blaine Gabbert. Even if you took his career rating of 74, that would place him as #29 in the league.

    He's abysmal.

Yes usually every interception has context in it. And usually that context exonerates blame at least to a degree from the person being critiqued. But this season, in this offense (which could be why), he's thrown so many picks how does he still get a pass for not being turnover prone? I can give valid reasons why Schaub missed games in his first year here. The cheap shot from that hillbilly Jared Allen sidelined him for more than a month. But that's not going to lift the "injury prone" tag he carried his first few years here.

The comparison I'm making was about qb vs qb last night. For the year both are turnover prone but can produce major yardage. But Tarvaris was the solid player last night. 13 for 16 for 190 and most importantly no turnovers. How are the completions regarded as solid but only when not bad reads or bad throws? Those are components of the passing game which are evaluated as a whole.

    Lol. Necrobump!!!

I thought there would be a story about Philly fan kidnapping him and throwing him in some sewage dump in south jersey or something for cursing the team after labeling it the dream team.

I wish Houston was more like Philly fan or Boston fan.
