I did watch the game, and T-Will has done a far better job on the defensive end.

McHale also said T-Will is a better defender.

The majority's consensus on this board is T-Will is a better defender.

So should I believe in an arrogant individual with a largely inflated ego who thinks he can do a better job than an NBA coach, or should I believe in heavily supported arguments backed up by a HOF coach himself?

T-Will is a better defender, and in the near future could be a better player as well.

I'm open to new facts and arguments that would suggest Bud is a better defender, but I'm certainly not stubborn enough to place all my faith in my own opinion knowing somebody else is more educated in that topic than I am.

He is more athletic, but he was not a lazy defender in this game, he lost focus a lot.

This is not right. Twill might be bad on defense but he was not alone.

TWill actually played pretty good defense late in the game on Turkey, if you watch the game, TWill would make Turkey put it on the floor and get in the air only to pass it off... it was here that someone else would get beat off the dribble andTWill was forced to help where Turkey would get his open looks (Like the last dagger of the game)

I don't even need to begin analyzing to know that DD sees good defense on one play, and others don't.

This one play itself, tells me everything about subjectivity.

How often has DD complained that Lowry goes under the screen when picking up players? Now all of a sudden T-Will is too aggressive going over the screen?

I could easily spin this exact same play around and say

"T-Will plays up close and personal defense, great defense preventing Hedo from going for his patterned jumper. Unfortunately, poor help defense allowed Hedo to get straight to the bucket".

I can spin this around to T-Will playing tight defense, but gets picked. Bad help defense and rotation leads to open shot.

Do you see how pointless this is? Or do I need to actually engage in pointlessness?

The +/- stat is probably the most misleading item in today's boxscore. By than logic, Doc Rivers shouldve played Keyon Dooling over Ray Allen against the Heat since Ray had the team worst -12 when he was on the court and Keyon had +10. (http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/boxscore?gid=2011122714)

Explain why TWill fighting over the top of screens to prevent the jumper is bad defense now and last year you were complaining about KLow going under the screens and giving up the jumper.
