CD is worse in my eyes because he never wore a jersey and beyond being an awesome assistant coach, was not exactly a positive to the team. Clyde won a championship here. You need to chill with the TMAC hate. He isn't on the team, threads about him are not in the GARM. If a few morons say we should retire his jersey, let it slide. Are you going to be doing this next year when TMAC is out of the association?

Lazy as ever. If his man has the ball he shuts him down, if someone else has the ball, he becomes slow and lazy

    11 points 4 boards in 19 minutes 11.5 points on 8 of 1
5 shooting in the last two games in only 19 minutes a game. So much for him being donee. Haters can hate, but he is proving to be a solid role player.

I understand where your coming from but at the same time you make it seem like its a crime to be a McGrady fan. Even to the Rox/T-mac people.
The ONLY reason people retaliate is because you downsize him in every way.

About T-mac's prime its very complicated because there were so many cases to be addressed. Many problems, if he was healthy then other players were injured or vice versa.
YES he made bad decisions and failed countless times however you trash his talent as if it wasn't there at all.
I agree player fanbases can get sickening however you cant take that away as that's what made us fall in love with his style and game.
No player is perfect but were at least happy to still see him play and recover somewhat, hes showing great signs. The only thing downgrading this was all the stupid bets and brags. His talents were off the charts back in the day!

He'll be better than Crawford for the Hawks. Dude was a chucker, and if he couldn't score, he was useless. TMAC gives the Hawks another playmaker when Joe Johnson is off the court, or isn't playing well.

I would be almost willing to bet than more than 50% of tinman's posts in 2011 were in T-Mac threads. If there were ever a "TOF" ...

    I never said he sucked.
you realize I don't create any of these threads right?
if I wanted to drop some Tracy threads to really stir the pot, I easily could.

Once again, if some tof makes a dumb thread like the lebron one where they say Tracy did more, you bet I'm dropping real results and stats on it.

And you guys keep mentioning me so I keep showing up.

Oh yea that is true, but honestly after arguing with other players fans Iv'e come very tired of trying. Especially the kobe ones who will never take no for an answer.
Its like arguing with my knuckle head buddy who thinks LeBron was a hogger in Cleveland when he was getting triples and double doubles, while he kobe was the man through the ugly.
Yes James had the ball in his hand but he was also the distributor.
Don't waste your breath on the mindless ones who cant accept facts. That's why you need to pick out the educated ones to confront :p

People will always have an opinion on the elite players.
the true ones if you know what I mean.

As far as the hawks, they were always a solid team. Crawford was extremely clutch.
mcgrady might finally find a fit at this point of his career. But we all know the playoffs will be the true test of teamwork and desire.

I'm on tinman's side here: I have a lot of fond memories of the T-Mac era, and I do still think his years of service for us from 2004-2008 should not go without mention. Nevertheless, I don't understand how you watch the entirety of that Artest-Yao season, I mean significant minutes from each and every game, and not come away with the final conclusion. That basketball player is not one of ours anymore.

I'm almost to the point when I argue with TOFs that I have to outright accuse them of not watching enough games during T-Mac's final years here. If they want to buy into the hundreds of excuses, fine. They'll just have to put up with me calling them fair-weather fans at the same time.

I don't really see many people arguing that his last two seasons here were anything but dismal. The excuses during that time don't justify his actions, but they do serve to explain how such a huge drop off could occur in such a short time. You go from having him play through multiple injuries in a lost season in 07-08 to the drama queen garbage in 08-09.

My biggest problem with certain posters here is that they disregard his early seasons with us and label anybody who doesn't a TOF. That, and the ridiculous double standards. McGrady losing in the playoffs doesn't have anything to do with Ryan Bowen as a starter, but the 22-game win streak is all about Landry and Scola? Please. They were both team efforts with McGrady at the center as our "superstar."

    <object width="420" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/ElJjkhB5qGk?version=3&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ElJjkhB5qGk?version=3&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

When this game ended, I was ecstatic. I truly thought we had a dynasty in the making. McGrady was incredible, Yao was hitting his stride, and even with David Wesley shooting 1-10 we had two amazing franchise players to anchor the team. Shaq-Kobe redux.

Fast forward past the 40 pt blowout, fast forward past "it's on me," fast forward past the devastating injuries and we're left with an era of disappointments.

But that era is over. And unlike Scottie Pippen, there were many great moments before things went sour. 13 in 33. The Dunk. Game winners, winning streaks, and one brief glimpse at playoff success when the team finally caught up with our declining and bench-ridden superstars.

So no, I don't think we should hold as much of a grudge as we do with Scottie. But Clutchfans is divided, and I think that's okay. Everyone's entitled to their opinion. But not according to the people who keep going into every thread calling people TOFs. Yeah there are idiots who want his jersey retired, but you have to ask yourself, are they even worth replying to? Are you going to change their minds?

tl;dr: It's over, let it go. Because this horse is already decomposed in the grave.

i don't really understand coach Drew but whatever. You have 9 games in 12 days and you're up 20 and your bench is doing ok. Yet tme most minutes a bench player plays is 19. That is not a good balance, but whatever. He is the coach.

    Cuddie and Spiegal are right.

Mama, there goes that man! Most people forgot how great T-Mac was under JVG. They just label you a TOF.

T-Mac's problems started with Adelman. T-mac was right. Rockets tried to ruin his career. He was fully healed and Adelman made it personal by benching him to keep him from getting a good contract. T-Mac has been unable to recover financially in free agency. Morey and Adelman had a personal agenda. That's why no high quality free agents come to the Rockets.

McGrady only contributed in the games near the butt end of the streak. Yao anchored the early part with Scola and Landry emerging and the team getting Adelman's passing game. Yao went down but the team kept the passing game. Actually, it was when McGrady was reinserted that the passing game started crumbling down with Scola, Landry, and Battier deferring to him.

Sure, buddy. That's exactly what happened. McGrady had nothing to do with that steak, it was obviously that all-star combo of Landry (Blake Griffin of the Bayou) and Scola. Battier's Lebron-esque performance during that streak certainly helped as well. I think McGrady hit one jumpshot and made 322 passing game breaking plays.
