Like it or not, T-Will is gonna be our future starting SF and Thabeet will be out of the league once his contract is up.

Like it or not, you will always be a rookie....and not worth responding to in a basketball related manner.

I hope so, but history is a good indicator of future performance.

I will give him a pass for immaturity of being a young guy whose head was bigger than his game though, maybe he has humbled himself, but I did not see that in the first game.

He outplayed Budinger and is a better defender than him as well.

McHale saw that and awarded Williams more playing time than Budinger.

McHale knows what he is doing. Hollinger tabbed Cbud as a breakout star and he is still the starter. T will is immature and lacks basketball IQ. C bud is a future allstar. Just relax and let Morey and Mchale work their magic.

I don't know what you expect. The second lineup, the bench is supposed to come out firing......like a goon squad.
It is not their fault to cover for the starting unit that had failed to defend, dug themselves a hole.
Theirs is to make up the ground. I saw Twill having a good game offensively, being not good defensively. Bud was having a day off statswise.

Um...I know he tweaked you off a bit, but a judgment based on the fact that he's a rookie on a sports-fan website (albeit a great one, ay, Clutch?)

I love clutchfans as much as the next guy, but, you know, priorities, people.

TWill is like the guy at the gym with the pretty game but always loses and blames everyone else for his team's failures.

Never once wondering that perhaps if he did a little bit more of the little things his team would almost always win.

On defense the guy has no concept of team defense, he can guard one guy ok, but misses assignments and rotations repeatedly and that is why every time he is on the floor, the team loses ground.

He is not playing winning basketball, he is playing "Look at me" ball though.....and that is appealing to folks without a clue.

And what is your point then.....just because other failed you see him fail as well?
History does repeat itself you say.....but it can be changed.

Nothing personal my man, we just talking about basketball. Nothing more, nothing less.

Why else did McHale give more playing time to Williams than Budinger? Budinger didn't do a good job defending and thus, his playing time was awarded to Williams.

Also, telling that Thabeet wasn't even active while a d-leaguer like Adrien got playing time.

IMO, Thabeet's time in Houston is donzo.

I like bud and twill but man DD I think your being a little harsh on the guy. Seeing as this was his first real game to play meaningful minutes in a year, I was actually very encouraged by his play. Theres no doubt he blew some defensive assignments because he was being overly aggressive, but I think he will get better in that department with better coaching. As for his offense I thought it was pretty good only saw one shot that I wish he didnt take and one fancy dribble that almost resulted in a turnover, even though it didn't it was still horrible possession by twill. I really do like what I see in his game offensively I think him klowry and clee is a fantastic lineup that can cause serious problems on both sides of the ball. As for bud his defense wasn't bad at all but I also never felt like he was making a positive nor negative impact on the game he was kinda just there but he will be better as the season goes on. IMO bus is better suited to start right now cause he knows the players better and the system but twill should still see just as many minutes as bud because we need to see what he can do and IMO he looked pretty good to me as this was his first game with meaningful minutes in a rockets uniform and if his play continues like it did last game he will get better, a lot better.

To DD I don't always agree with what u say but I do like reading it, cause it is very insightful and there's no doubt in my mind that you love the rockets as much as I do so ur alright with me. I hope the rockets do well this year and I actually think they will while surprising alot of people.

Gerald Wallace rarely got any playing time in Sacramento but thrived in Charlotte and Portland with a new coach.

He is an all-star now and one of the premiere wings in the league.

Why can't T-Will have the same fate?

One ? For DD..... What did twill do the other night that was showboating, selfish look at me ball? I didnt see him yelling at teammates, coaches or even trash taking to other players he looked rather quite to me? Just wondering so I could look for it in the next game?

Wasn't the last time Terrence played legit competitive basketball like a year ago?

It's the first game. And he did good for his first game. Terrence WILL start over Chase sooner or later. Maybe in like 10 games. And it's not because he is the better player or what ever, but because it makes the team better.
