Huh? Well, first you would not win a championship before Les, because he has already won two of them. Second, drafting Yao was the right move as he was the only real franchise player. Also, the trade of Francis and Mobley for TMac was a good trade.

2-3 years from all the star attracting cities will be filled and by process of elimination we'll be the biggest city available so we'll pull in somebody..... I hope

What? Drafting Yao was a great move. He was a solid 7'6 monster and brought alot of money for the franchise. T-Mac was also coming off of his best season in Orlando. Trading Steve and Mobley was definitely the right move because we were going no where with them.

T-mac and Yao's failure to get out of the first round was just because we lacked the role players and because of the mismatches we had against out opponents - particularly the Jazz and ******* Okur.

Once and then proceeded to basically end his career in the next round.

Having one bad year doesnt mean everything is going to change. The Timberwolves, Clippers and Bulls sucked hardcore for years before they got their franchise player(s).

This is the first year post Yao and Mcgrady. Exercise some patience, young lads.

I find it funny that DD brings up pathetic excuses of teams/owners yet bashes Les. All Les has done year in and year out is max out the cap, buy picks, etc.

    What are you talking about?

Les has leveraged the insurance money he got in the Yao and Tmac years to buy a few 2nd round draft picks.....which gives the fans an illusion that he is trying.....

If he were really going all in....ala Cuban or Buss, he would have been consistently over the cap....when Tmac and Yao were healthy...but he tried to win the cheap way...and it bit him in the ass.

I am not going to fall for the company line when the $$$$ tree shakes out pretty clearly.

Rockets players brought in by another owner and gm won those two championships. Les just bought the package.

Rockets are championship contenders. C bud is a breakout star for sure, T Will is a monster, Sammy D is the best thing since Sunny D, Luis Scola is the Argentinian Kevin Mchale, K Mart is the most efficient scorer in basketball, Kyle Lowry is just as good as CP3, Rose and Deron and everybody P Patt, Marcus Morris and J hill are all future allstars. We also have the best Gm in basketball who has took advanced stats to the next level.

Bring on the Heat in the finals. Go rockets GO.

I agree, it sucks watching us get stuck in the bottom wrung of mediocrity. I think the big market teams get much of the attention that people tend to forget...Oklahoma City is on their way to becoming a contender, Clippers are looking so much better, Atlanta, Sacramento..etc. These teams don't get the spotlight like Lakers, Knicks, Bulls, and Heat...but they have definitely moved up in the last few years by acquiring solid talents. What do we have...Kyle Lowery and Luis Scola. This is sad...

You make it sound like Rockets have been on the rise during the past decade? We only made it to the second round of the playoffs ONCE during the Yao/TMAC era. Being stuck in the lower end of mediocrity isn't that much better than the bottom feeders like Bulls, Clippers, and Thunder. At least they ended up getting superstars like Rose, Durant, and Griffin in the draft and are now on there way to contending. What did we get for being mediocre? Nobody! I can't believe how some fans could be so delusional into thinking that simply making it to the first round of playoffs is considered a successful season.

Is it just me, or does this season have way way more whiney threads than previous seasons?

Here's a tip for all of you: Just because you think the Rockets suck this season doesn't mean that you have thoughts that are worthy of their own thread. Just go find one of the other 10 billion threads on boo hoo we aren't the Miami Heat and then post in that thread.

    Just like I'm doing now.

Your a troll. The rockets have put out a great product. The rockets never even had to rebuild and their already back in the championship mix. The rockets are always above 500. Their a winning team.

I guarantee that Lebron and Bosh would not have gone to play in Milwaukee. There is no freaking way. Plus if Wade was there to begin with, I think he would have left. (Even though he is from the area)
