Didn't see this topic yet and as an Alumni of Cal and a native of Texas thought I should start one. As for the game my loyalties are not torn on this one GO BEARS! I am though pissed that I can't find a place in Perth where I can see the game. I am going to try ESPN online and see if they will show it but I get the feeling it won't be shown outside of the US. Did I mention, GO BEARS!
Can't wait for this game tonight! HOOK EM!!!!! BTW that sucks you won't be able to watch it, hopefully you can keep track of it online.. should be a great game..
The **** is this ****? It's like watching the last Greg Davis calling the offense with the sideline, gain zero yard passes. Now a missed field goal. Two of the worst QB's ever signed. Great job, Mack.
Coach calling the offense is clueless, special teams is a joke, offense...waiting for them to get off of the bus.
Am managing to see the game. A buddy of mine sent me a link so I can watch. FYI ESPN3 wasn't showing the game in Australia but NBA. This is a tough game to watch as both teams seem to be screwing themselves over. Cal had one good drive and Taveccio had enough will to kick it twice, he blew it last year against Oregon last year when he had to kick it twice in a game where Cal could've upset then #1. Some nifty play calling by Texas on the touchdown drive but also a drive greatly helped by Cal screwing up. It looked like Ash was putting things together when Texas also shot themselves with some bad penalties. This game will come down who can make the less mistakes in the second half. Either team could break this one open if they can play consistent.
This is Cal's 3rd trip to the Holiday Bowl in the last 7 years, strangely enough playing all Texas teams. Cal is 1 and 1 so far in the Holiday Bowl losing to Texas Tech and then blowing out the Aggies.
Hats off to the Longhorns. Their defense played great and the offense took advantage. Cal with too many self inflicted wounds and lost poise.
Manny Diaz is the ****ing man. Depending on how quickly the offense progresses they could win the conference next year and maybe more. They have the backs and recievers to do so just need Ash and the OL to take a step forward.
Hook 'Em. It felt useless to watch the game after finishing such a mediocre season. The first half was boring, but it was awesome to see such a fired up defense and an offense with some fuel in the second half. Gives us hope for next year. HAPPY NEW YEAR HORNS!
