If we worked a separate trade for Josh Smith, you would think Dwight wouldn't walk from us next summer and leave his friends Smith and Lee to flounder on a rebuilding team.

Not saying that this would sway his decision, but isn't he from Atlanta?

no def ... I mean it wouldnt be for this year... I cant imagine howard taking that unless he knew dwill would sign next year...

    in that case you have

    Dwill

    Hortford
    Howard

you could insert anybody in the other two spots and you can compete in the playoffs

Of course it holds my interest... You have to find a way to break the mold, like OKC did. Or even Tampa Bay in the AL East with the Yanks and Sox. It totally sucks, but tht's the way it is. I will ride and die with the Rockets, but in today's world it's challenging. As much as I think Cuban is whiny baby sometimes, I did see joy in them taking out the big 3.

yah i believe so...but never heard that mentioned as anything of note. Plus atlanta wasnt on his list...and dallas was.

But just based on orlandos perspective whats better

    pau and bynum
    Johnson and Smith

    or a combo of:
Lowry, scola, martin (other young guys like hill, dragic, patterson, morris)

At least with us they can mix match cause we have some much talent and depth

Dwight thinks he's Clark Kent.... Do you think he will do c&d scrap metal commercials like Mutumbo? Or go to a place like LA and expand his brand/image in that market? In today's world, it's more than just basketball people. Durant is the exception.

Maybe we need to have a quiet word with Dwight to remind him that it was Hakeem that schooled him. ;)

Depends on which CP3 you get. At his peak, he is a top 2-3 player in the NBA capable of completely taking over a game and deciding the pace. Very, very few players have been able to do this.... on the other end, you are dealing with a guy that lacks size, and is has battled some very serious injuries, ones that historically do not suddenly get a lot better. There is a very good chance he will be a shell of himself in a few years.

The Rockets hold my interest, because I want Houston to win at everything...the NBA is holding my interest less and less all the time, largely for the reasons you mentioned.

Well according to some people on here(including, all of a sudden, DD)... Kevin Martin is a NBA STAR. So no need for Houston to look anymore. We have our man. Our NBA star, zero time all-star, Kevin Martin.

    Championship here we come.

If only Yao didn't **** on Dwight every time they played against each other maybe he'd go to him the way Sammy D for advice on how the Rockets performed as an organization.

Whatever happens, we should be involved.

Get Gasol or Dwight and then go after Deron in the offseason.

A star is not an all star, nor a superstar, but Kmart is a good NBA player, which to me equals a star.....

And you are right, he is a zero all star player......and I want him traded today.

    Gasol and Turkoglu to Houston
Bynum, Martin, Patterson, and Budinger to Orlando
Howard, Thabeet, Flynn, and Motiejunas to LA

    PG: Lowry/Dragic
    SG: Lee/Williams
    SF: Turkoglu/Morris
    PF: Scola/Hill
    C: Gasol/Dalembert

That's a team that can win 60 games.
