Shaq at what..37? How old was Big Z? Antwan Jamison...you are bragging on Antwan Jamison? Mo Williams?? Do you think the Bulls would give you Pippen for all of those guys at that stage of their careers? What about the Celtics and McHale or Parish? The Lakers wouldn't give you Pau Gasol for those guys!! Thanks for proving my point.*

Yeah, that's what haters will say. Others who realize the amount of talent typically needed to win will say his team was stacked like title teams typically are.*

I said it was rare, not impossible. So rare that we had to trade for a 2nd star to repeat and traded for a 3rd later (Barkley). It takes a lot of help to win.*

Yes, with teams that were worse talent wise than the majority of teams that have won NBA titles. They had serious opportunities because LeBron was working miracles with a starless group, like AI and Kidd before him.*

Icehouse, LeBron is an incredible basketball player. He absolutely has the potential to be named among the best of all time. Physically built like none other. Not only that but insane basketball IQ. But along the way, the way he's gone about things in a way that has been less than appealing. I'll be the first to raise my hand to say I don't like the guy at all. It wasn't the case when he first came into the league, but after seeing him act like an entitled child over and over again, I'm not a fan of the guy.

You think he couldn't do it with his cast in Cleveland but they basically dominated the regular season for a number of years. They made it to the finals and semifinals a number of times. They were on the brink with the crew that they had. Sure he could've used more help, but what team couldn't?

General perception is that the NBA is screwed up. The NFL has has some great dynasty teams, but year after year many different teams have a good chance to be truly competitive. The whole "superfriends" b.s. in the NBA sucks. All the top players in the league flocking to New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Boston. Dan Gilbert is an idiot, but what he said in his email to Stern was correct: "When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?"

The "fact" that a team "needs" 2-3 superstars when there are only a handful of superstars in the league is basically ruining NBA basketball.

I'm not pinning this situation on LeBron but along the way he's been less than likable, and he's fully bought into the superfriends philosophy that is ruining the league.

By the way, who was Dirk's sidekick last year when Dallas won?

LeBron is good enough that he doesn't need Dwayne Frickin Wade and Chris Bosh as his running mates.

First off, lebron couldn't wait around for an owner like Cuban to come along. Second, Shaquille, old z, and mo Williams is not a good team. Mo Williams was the cavs number two....he's currently the sixth man for the clippers and they MIGHT make it to the western finals.

Just because you preface your statements with an admission to hating the guy ... Doesnt make what you say any more legitimate.

Duncan had ginobli and Parker. Shaq had Kobe. Jordan had pipped and rodman. That's like the last two decades of champions. No one did it alone except Hakeem for one year and I'm glad it was with us. Lebron hooked up with one superstar, wade, and a, at best, second option in bosh. He didn't just wait around for the ping pong balls to fall into place... He made it happen by orchestrating a legal/legitamite business decision.

It's interesting that even Lebron's haters know that the Heat will probably win it all this year. Lebron silenced his critics when he stepped up against and Celtics and then annihilated the Bulls. Then, he got his critics back when he faltered against the Mavs in the 4th. He still has those same critics but at least they know whats going to happen this year.

I can't believe people actually bring up Shaq as a reason for Lebron having help. Its like they see the name Shaq and just totally dismiss how washed up he was

LeBron performance is a LeBron performance. He explodes like that from time to time.

I did see a new move that I particularly liked from LeBron, though. He would get post position and face up with the ball above his head, which is what Melo does as well from a triple threat position. From that position, without bringing the ball down, LeBron tucks his elbow in and shoots a jumpshot. This completely caught Marion off-guard a couple of times. Great new move from LeBron, good job by him.

Are you calling it for LeBron now as well?
    [He is better than MJ . . . .]

    Rocket River
For the record. . . as much as I don't like him . . . Magic Johnson maybe closer to the actual GOAT than LeBron or the other MJ

Not only Shaq, but Big Z, almighty Jamison and Mo (who played like garbage in the postseason). Folks also seem to forget that the playoffs reveal the deficiencies you can hide in the regular season. Yeah, you can get away without an old Shaq/Big Z frontline in the regular season, but it might hinder you when you play the Magic and Boston frontline in a 7 game series.

Wow I didn't know lebron played with four all stars in Cleveland. With shaq avg 30 and 10 how did the cavs on win. This does not compute.

No way I'm calling that for LeBron. Between the ears, he isn't the same as MJ, Magic, Bird, Kobe, etc.

I'll reconsider if he wins 4-5 championships. Maybe this is the year LeBron becomes a cold-blooded, merciless assassin.

People who use Shaq as an example of how much help LeBron had in Cleveland are ignorant (some willfully).

LeBron averaged 40-8-8 and they still lost a series. Don't what more he could have done with Cleveland.

When he wins a championship you will be on his dick like how everyone is riding dirks dick now.

Kobe the rapist, the selfish loser = Kobe the cut throat competitor.

Perceptions can be changed with championships, but does it really change the player?
