The season opener was yesterday and the next game isn't for another two days. I'm sure this is the first of many burdens caused by a 66 game season.

    Monday @ Orlando
    Thursday vs SA
    Friday @ Memphis
    Saturday vs Atlanta

I'm afraid this team will dig a deep hole pretty quick.

I personally wouldn't have it any other way (considering the condensed schedule and the results of our past two seasons and what we have now). It doesn't give us any illusion that we are going to have a great season. If we go .333 or under in the first 9 games it will at least allow for us to make decisions that are backed up by our record. When you're .500 it's a lot harder to make certain moves.

If we go .666 the first nine games, then it would give everyone great confidence that we can make the playoffs, due to a much lighter schedule the rest of the way.

On the other hand, if we had four bad teams out of nine and we go 6-3 while only beating two good teams then it gives us an illusion that we would hardly be able to maintain.

If everybody comes out playing like they are supposed to, we can probably win the next 4 games. Dalembert played beyond my expectations last night.

If Martin stays in a shooting slump we won't win more than 25 games this season.

This. I was counting on Martin having some balls during my predictions for the teams success. I had no idea who would be a whiny little girl who is sulking over an almost trade that didnt happen.

I think we go 2-8 over our first 10. But that's okay, because this gives us time to get Dalembert worked into the flow. If we go 4-6 with that schedule then we're going to be a better team than I thought.

Also, we've lost to the Magic by 15, 14, 15, and 18 points the last 4 times that we've played them. Losing by 9 last night is actually an improvement.

there is going to be a lot of injuries this season with all those 3 games in a row.

How these guys can play back-to-back-to-back is beyond me. Brutal on the body.

Lakers lost their first two games and are stream rolling past the Jazz on their back to back to back

I think the scheduling is perfect. This way you get to see what this team can do. We already know that they will be able to score with the best of them.

Imagine how good the reffing will be by the 2nd month after several back-to-back games for different teams. Weary eyes and legs, old 40 something year old guys that can't keep up with the players. There will be more bad calls than normal and it won't be due to a conspiracy.

David Stern screws the pooch again. He wanted to start the season earlier than it should've started and wanted to cram in as many games as possible because more games = more money.

Not only are you going to see these 3 games in a row, but butt-load more back to backs.

After this back to back to back, the Rockets will play 5 consecutive back to backs, almost all requiring travel between games (the only one that doesn't is the b2b with the Lakers and Clippers). That's 13 games in 20 days. That's 2 games every 3 days for 3 straight weeks. Right at the beginning of the season when a lot of players aren't even in basketball shape due to the shortened training camps. That's ****ing insane.

Hopefully our deep rotation will give us an advantage.

    That's not Stern's fault. That's everybody's fault.
