Yup, he played both rooks, Rubio and Williams, down the stretch. They both played good games tonight, and their careers will definitely benefit from playing under RA. Funny how the "Adelman doesn't play young guys" myth still lives on despite all the overwhelming evidence against it...
It's kinda disappointing that McHale put the rookies in the doghouse, while Adelman had the rookies closing out the 4th. Most folks forgot the development of Landry, Brooks, and Budinger. They just like to point the finger at guys that came to the Rockets in the last 2.5 months of the season(T-Will, Thabeet).
who were the NBA guys hwo doubted that Rubio could play amongst the 'men' fo the NBA. I know Chris Webber and Brandon Jennings did, who else? I know he has al ong way to go, but he showed poise adn that he can at the very least hang in the NBa tonight and he has potential to be something special
Wow, Brandon Jennings out of all people? I thought he would rep Rubio since he played in the Euroleague...
Yeah, funny as in NOT funny at all. Adelman has repeatedly been accused of not playing "the young guys," even though it is absolute BS.
Jennings said before the draft he thought he was better than Rubio and he should be picked higher then Rubio.
I hate to say this, but the Wolves are my team to watch this season, largely due to Adelman and Rubio. I don't remember the last time I felt so disinterested in the Rockets.
He was also accused of sticking with "his guys" playing favorites. Aaron Brooks was his pet. Who he didnt have much issue replacing in the starting lineup with Kyle Lowry. Then it was Adelman cost us key games and the season cuz he gave Brooks too much space to work back from his injury and out of his slump and he should have kept him BENCHED... Taking all these micro-looks at it when in the full scope of things Adelman just played the best guys who executed his offense the best. Rudy T only played Boki Nachbar 77 total MINUTES his rookie season. Not games, MINUTES. Then he played Nachbar a whooping 45 games his 2nd season. I don't recall a gigantic fuss about that. Can you IMAGINE if Rick Adelman sat down Marcus Morris and Patrick Patterson and his Rockets LOTTERY picks like that the ENTIRE season?
Tonight was an awesome game to watch. T-Wolves band of rookies, Euros and re-treads nearly ran one of the WC powerhouses off the court! Rubio was a magician out there.

I think they have a very, very good chance to make the playoffs and it will be with Rubio running the team. Flame away.
Brandon Jennings is.......an idiot. He'll never win in the NBA and unless he adjusts his game to a playmaker instead of a scorer, he will be out of the league in about 3 years. He is not a good point guard, doesn't understand the game, the importance of possessions and the importance of getting the ball in the hoop efficiently by getting it to the right teammate in the right position to score the basket. Jennings does not understand basketball.
Jennings was right. This Rubio nonsense is just a bunch of hype. I seen him play and he didn't even start on his own tream. Never seen such hoopla for an average player. He makes a couple of flashy passes and everybody has him as the next Magic Johnson
Question: Which of these teams do the T-Wolves have a "very, very good chance" to beat out for the 8th spot in the West? OKC Clippers Grizzlies Mavericks Lakers Spurs Nuggets Blazers That's very harsh. No need to unload on the guy just because he criticized your pet player last year. Jennings will be in the NBA a very long time. The worst thing that ever happened to him was the 55-point outburst against the Warriors last season. Jennings is a very flawed player who thinks he's better than he really is, which is hardly unique.
I understand your reasoning on making the playoffs. Those appear to be 8 solid teams. However, I happen to believe Rubio is just that good, to push his team into the playoffs. And Minny has enough pieces to make a trade for a substantial rotation player to help them make that push with Rubio running the show alongside Love. Like I said, flame away. We'll see what happens. Yes, I'm harsh on Jennings. I don't think he's as good as Aaron Brooks. I think he will single-handedly torpedo Milwaukee's season and send them to the lottery.
I don't flame. No need for you to feel persecuted. You are really "feeling your oats" after this opening game. Enjoy it. It isn't fair to solely blame Jennings if the Bucks miss the playoffs. I'm curious if the team can take another full year of Scott Skiles. If so, they'll be first round fodder for the Heat.
I don't feel persecuted. Not worried about it at all. I just expect after all the back and forth about Rubio for people to criticize. Not feeling my oats about Rubio. I have been very consistent in saying he is a generational talent. I am convinced by the end of this season that he will be talked about right alongside CP3, DWill, and Rondo as the best point guards in the game. If Adelman gives him the reins (and I think Adelman will), Minny will make a big push for the playoffs. He's that good.
