After watching Pau Gasol these 1st 2 games maybe the Rockets lucked out ?

I know Kmart has played like crap so far but Gasol has looked very unimpressive. I'd still probably go through with the trade but it seems pretty clear that Gasol isn't the player he once was a few years back. I know its only 2 games but considering how he disappeared last year in the playoffs maybe he is on the decline. Scola on the other hand looks to be in mid season form and if Martin can either play up to his potential or be used for another trade......maybe it worked out for us in the end not to trade for Gasol.

His starting mates include Josh McRoberts, Devin Ebanks and Derek Fisher...throw in an injured Kobe and Dream might struggle with that.

He'll look MUCH better when Bynum gets back.

Bynum will make a difference, but DREAM would not have struggled he would have DOMINATED.

We got lucky with Pau and Bosh. Both are f'ing softies and though talented mental toughness is a huge factor for big men that I don't think Morey quite understands.

Pau is a PF being forced to play center. That's not going to work in LA either. Pau will look like a different player when Bynum starts playing.

Don't be surprised if Gasol and K-Mart both play in a funk. This isn't uncommon. The NBA has seen situations like this before. Sometimes the player regresses, but sometimes the player responds to the failed trade by kicking it up a notch, which is how Robert Horry became Big Shot Bob.

It's funny how fans complain about team defense but never care for it when it comes to judging players. The Magic shot 53%. That's the kind of team we have right now.

The Rockets would have been a hell of a lot better with Nene and Pau down low and Lee and Lowry as the guards.

We didn't luck out. We got screwed.

If that's all it takes for us to give up our only decent players, then we might as well wrap it up and go to the NBDL.
