The early schedule is brutal, the Rockets could easily be 0-6. It will be tough to even win 1 or 2 games.
I am no Mc Hale backer. I was no Adelman backer. Many not so smart moves were made out there that I am convinced Adelman would not have made. Then again in my wildest dreams did I think Morey would go full r****d on me in the offseason sign Mc Hale, Dalembert, release Chuck Hayes, lose out on every target he wanted, and miss out on a sure trade. That just kind of came from nowhere. It told me he was trying to suck on purpose or he actually does suck at being the GM. As with everything unfortunately???? It takes time to find out with Morey. Even if he has a plan? It might be foiled by the player, coach, players on our team, or the commissioner of the NBA himself.
Agree w/ DD about thabeet .. even if he sucks how is adrein any better at least Thabeet has potential .... the only reason you have adrien out there is because you think he can contribute RIGHT NOW ... he obviously looks lost and can't ... put thabeet out there ... he can get better as the season goes on
Based on what we've seen to date, he's god-awful, but he's big, he's not slow, and he's 6 fouls. More to the point, Howard is a lousy freethrow shooter (60% for his career) and off to a worse than usual start. Why not give Thabeet 5 minutes to body up on Howard and send him to the line? It couldn't hurt Thabeet's confidence, because he doesn't play like he has a hell of a lot, anyway. I wondered about that. I understand McHell not playing him, but it might have been worth giving the kid a shot. You type too fast! ;-)-
Relax everyone, its just the first game and a lot of stuff were working against us. 1) its Mchale's first game. He had some questionable decisions but since its just his first game I'd cut him some slack. 2) Dalembert is so not in shape. This is the main reason why Scola was asked to guard DH, Dalembert couldn't stay on the court. In the next few days we'll see Dalembert get more and more PT, and I think you'll see the D become better as well because of it. 3) Damn Kmart and C-bud sucked. You can clearly see that Kmart is still sulking on the court. I know he didn't want to be traded but he's a PRO, and we're paying him 10+ mill a year to produce. C-bud looks like he's slumping again, we really should start courtney lee over him at sf. 4) To me, the biggest positive is definitely Kyle Lowry. 20 pts, 6 assists, 7 rebs on an off night when he shot 1-5 from the 3? He's becoming a legit all star, and someone we can build around.
It's not Howard that killed us today..... He had 'only' 21 points and 7 rbs. Jhill and Sam were serviceable. Turkoglu, Redick , Davis, their bench killed us.........
Turkoglu torched us like he was in his prime again. The two things that would have changed the whole game was defense against him and Martin showing up to play tonight.
Wow, perhaps you are being biased. First: In this instance the onus is on the passer, not on the receiver. Second:That call was a very questionable one, you don't see those calls unless it is a blatant infraction and if you watched a few plays later, it did happen when Jameer Nelson had his feet planted on both sides of the court long enough to be called for it, but the house was cooking I guess (not that I blame the loss on that) I just think you're being a little too harsh on him, to the point of fishing to find fault.
