I agree. Can't wait until he is a starter. We would have won if he played more minutes than Bud tonight. MIP here we come!
He has the potential to be a star. And so does Lowry, who just needs to maintain his level of play consistently to become an all-star point guard. The way McHale wants to play, I'd say Scola, Lowry and T-Will should get the majority of the touches as scorers/creators and Lee and Dalembert should play off of them. Long term Morris has the potential to become a star and Patterson should be very good. Hill could become solid if he can improve defensively. Sometimes, I think that people forget that T-Mac wasn't a big star originally. But he had talent and was fed the ball continuously until he learned to handle the role. As long as T-Will plays good D, I'd be happy to let him learn on the job. Give us one hit with a top 10 pick (or via trade) and this team could be ready to compete for a championship in 2-3 years. I think it is ok if we suck for a year as long as we are developing guys like T-Will, Lowry, Morris, and Patterson and playing good D.
Gallo is a future star, but he's not making SC. People are confusing SC highlights as star making material.
Is it not bleak already? The two best players on our roster were able to fetch us a 2nd-tier star (Gasol).. yet we keep down this path of trying to trade for a superstar. It makes me want to bang my head against the wall.
When it comes to the Rocks, I'm by nature an optimist (I would have gone crazy long ago if that weren't the case!). Yeah, it's frustrating. In the Gasol deal, I tried to look at it as getting Gasol and Nene for Scola/Martin. Lookng at it that way made a heck of a lot more sense, at least for me. But sure, my wall has plenty of dents in it. Good thing I have a hard head. ;-)-
