Just watching this first game, if Rondo continues to decide to shoot the ball, when he's wide open for the layups instead of pitching it out for 3-balls, the Celtics are going to be better even with their changes in personnel.

It appears all the Chris Paul trade talk may have put a bug in his behind to score the ball.

Rondo has been amazing this game. And this is without Pierce to space the floor.

Rondo has single handedly kept the Celtics in the game

He's taking his shots instead of forcing the pass and he's still racked up double digit assists. I like it. Got sick of watching him throw passes when he had a wide open layup last year.

And that hustle is just awesome. Just gave the Celtics another shot to tie/win the game with that rebound

Rondo's had big scoring games before. It's a combo of easy layups and his jumpshot being on for a night. It's not a recipe that easily repeats itself.

Rondo needs and will be more agressive. He won't play like that but he can score more. One thing guys. He will take more shots because he is not afraid of shooting free throws. He has improved a lot at the stripe which will make him much more valuable.

DAMN! I just traded Rondo in my fantasy league because I was worried about his scoring and FT%. I feel like giving up already if this ends up being more than just "one game"

    Overreact much?

Rondo will always be a reluctant shooter.

When the going gets tough, teams will always give him the shot.

He's my perfect fantasy PG. I think he scores much more this season, Doc Rivers has given him the green light. I'm punting FT%, so that doesn't worry me.
