    I can't help but feel like we missed out when that Pau trade was vetoed. We would've had Nene, Gasol, Lowry, and likely Lee and Budinger in the starting lineup. 2 near 7-footers to match up with Howard, and both good enough on offense to get Dwight in foul trouble on defense and take him out of the game, not to mention that we will likely have a mismatch on offense at one of the big positions every night. That's a top 10 defense and top 10 offense right there, and likely home court in the 1st round in the West. Now, we're stuck with a scrappy 8th seed hopeful again, going nowhere fast.

    Nene to Houston wasn't happening. Before the off-season he was rumored to have wanted $90 million.

    The Nuggets always had the most money to offer, had to spend around $15 million just to meet the minimum payroll, and were the better team. They were 5th seed last season with win % something like .700 or better after the Melo trade. Supposedly, one of the best defensive teams too IIRC.

    The Nets and Rockets were just leverage to get more money from the Nuggets.

    That would be great and really makes sense in theory, but I think if orlando loses today they will come "needing" a win, not to start 0-2

    I believe purely with the acquisition of Dalembert and drafting Morris that our team this year is better than last. Interesting to see how Lowry plays as well. Was it a career year last year or is it the beginning of something special?
