Everyone knows both players are efficient and have good value but they have peaked. If you look at the West Conf. prediction thread many think we wont even make the playoffs this year. So while no one wants to trade them for scrap, there is no future with them being our top players. The only way to make any changes is to start over and that usually begins with trading your highest paid players. Thats why no one mentions Lowry who is young, cheap, and improving.

I am sure some/most would prefer an upgrade but our best chance went out the window and its time to move on.

This could happen. Lin could go to the D-league, but wouldn't he be open to take offers from other teams? Would the Rockets have to sign him first?

I was thinking mainly of Scola and KMart. I forgot a bout SammyD.

Agreed. It will be interesting to see if McHale and staff can coach up KMart to play a little D. Certainly something Rick Adelman never did.

Well the Rockets are not "configured" with a superstar. KMart is one of the Rockets's most valuable "assets" which would likely to part of any trade. This was the case with the failed CP3 trade.

My original comment was not that the Rocket should not trade KMart ... but ... My comment was that if McHale failed to get KMart to play well then McHale and not KMart should go.
