Well then Tiger shouldn't have married in the first place Tiger's wife did nothing wrong. Calling her the b**** when Tiger was the one who cheated on her is ridiculous. His wife didn't force Tiger to marry her, just like Vanessa Bryant didn't force Kobe Bryant into marrying her. Kobe and Tiger both married out of their own free will, and they both cheated while knowing the consequences of their actions. Vanessa and Elin don't NEED half of their wealth, but they deserve it because that's how marriage works, and Kobe and Tiger deserve to get taken to the cleaners for not signing prenups AND still cheating around.
Deserve is the wrong choice of words. The word "deserve" implies they did something to earn half of Tiger/Kobe's earnings and getting married to a rich guy who cheated on you isn't exactly earning the money. More like they are entitled to get all they can with the help of a good divorce attorney. Small difference I know but meaningful nonetheless.
You'd probably do better in fantasy if you picked up players whose production would improved based on their situation, not players like Kobe who are typically fairly consistent with their production. Unless, of course, you plan on having him be your workhorse.

Got to love it when guys blame the wife for getting a husband's money when he cheats with a dozen or so women. I can be as cynical as the next guy, but da-yumn. If Vanessa Bryant let it be known that Karl Malone hit on her, well, could be for petty reasons, but at the same time, Malone should have known better, too.

No sympathy for him. He raped a woman, then lied to his wife about it. He apparently has cheated on her since the rape. He had to know things were not perfect.

This is not a defense of Kobe, hell It doesn't have to do anything with kobe, but more so the principal of someone making a living, he agreed to marry her and she also agreed to marry him with his lifestyle and what the nba players have with traveling and women throwing themselves, he screwed up, and i agree she deserves to be taken care of for the rest of her life, but this arbitrary bs law that she deserves half of his income and then some is just absurd. It was from a time when women didn't work adn were only housewives, They have nannnies so on, she does whatever the hell she wants. Her mothers example is a fine example. She waited till the 10 year mark, now her husband(who is not well off and has children of his own) has to pay her over 1500-2000 a month when he estruggles to send his daughter to college while she lives in a mansion kobe purchased....where is the sense in that?
