You can't be biased as a fan. Flynn and Lin both have upside. :)

Completely agree, and I have nothing against Flynn, but my point is that Lin has not gotten nearly the chance to show as much as Flynn has due to playing time. So in other words, Lin is more of an unknown, which by definition could be better or worse if the two are close in others' eyes.

Of course there is always a chance Lin will flame out, but my prediction based on his entire history of getting better, the ability to learn, playing smart, and proving people wrong is that he will get better and better the more minutes he gets. And that is the point of young players having upside, giving them a chance to show what they can do.

I hope lin stays on the team. his youtube video of him breaking john wall's ankles remains a summer league classic till this day.

Of course Flynn is lottery pick and top 6, Lin is undrafted
According to articles, there have been some sentiments against Asian in the States, I am not sure on that.

I think they have scouting reports on Jeremy though in spite of getting no love at the draft

When choosing a 3rd string point guard, I think you have to go with the guy with the most upside. Flynn was a stud in college. He is a great athlete, with good handles who competes hard. He had a solid rookie year under a horrible coach. Then had a serious hip injury his second year. Lets give him a full year not playing in the triangle(worst thing for him). Lin looks good. But I just don't think his ceiling is that high.

I agree with you that you need to go with the guy with the most upside. My opinion is that player is Lin, who has gotten virtually zero NBA playing time and has already shown spurts where he can take over games against top talent. I respect your opinion though.

That is a pretty sick crossover.
And at least Lin didn't brick the shot off the rim like Flynn did throughout the entire game...

Lin is a combo guard and can play 2.. and Flynn is just a 1 guard. We do need some backups for 2 cuz martin is a glassman and no one knows how Twill is gonna turn out this season.

I hope both are kept with the team though.. which seems unlikely under the current situation..

Couldn't agree more. Flynn had a solid rookie year when he was healthy. I think it is absolutely ridiculous to give up on a guy that has proven that he can be a solid player when healthy.

Too bad the Rockets can't keep both. The 3 guard rotation that was used to make the 10 point run looked effective.

Flin should be better than Lynn.

But... I don't like the 22 seconds of the shot clock dribblers from past experience.

Can't vote yet. Not enough visual evidence. I will say Lin was very impressive in his short minutes. Flynn was a second team selection though right? So there's skills there. Pre-season way too short, almost every team is going to have some sleepless nights over these kinds of issues.
