Funny how so many of you know how a film's gonna suck just because the director/producer/whomever finally chose not to ruin the entire film with the trailer. The Dark Knight Rises? If it had been a minute longer it would have been as jawdropping as Dark Knight Rises (for me). Still looks really, really badass though. That one minute puts all the stupid AvP movies to shame...as well as the most recent stand alone Predator.
I'm not sure what you mean by fan boy, but he talked about it being epic in scale since around the time Avatar came out and wondered why he hadn't been doing more sci-fi again. This is Ridley Scott and Sci-Fi, it will not fail. Especially not because it's larger in scale and will appeal more to masses. Us "sheep." Go watch Darjeeling Limited or some lame non sense so you can feel special and indie. Looking forward to this more than The Dark Knight Rises or The Hobbit actually. CAN'T WAIT.
^^ It looks like they're are doing two cuts and definitely releasing it as PG13. So you might get an R rated extended cut on Bluray. But really, look back at the original. It wasn't blood and gore, it was atmospheric. It could pass as PG13 by today's standards.
For sure. Also as far as different cuts go from Scott. Look at Kingdom of Heaven. Mediocre in theater. The directors cut though is one of my favorite movies which i actually just watched again last week. I expect an awesome R directors cut on Blu Ray.
Damn to be release Summer of 2012??? That was fast don't you think?? Movies like this with the hype of the trailer, I could have sworn it would be a longer release like 2013 or something especially coming from Ridley Scott.. Summer is just around the corner too, can't freaking wait... Is this really gonna be pg-13 because that would suck monkey ass...
He is making a pg13 and a R cut of the movie to show Fox and let them choose what they want in theater. For sure going to be rated R cut for Blu Ray directors cut. It's all in Fox's hands i guess. Pg13=more money.
Trailer looks fantastic. Music is great. I love good sci-fi. Sunshine is one of my favorites. Alien(s) was great. Looking forward to this movie a lot.

^ liked the video. just one pet peeve of mine... i hate it when they use future dates that aren't far enough in the future. yes, some technologies advance really far, really quickly. but the atmosphere in the video, combined with the advancements in certain areas (complete cybernetic indistinguishable individuals) speaks to a year that is definitely more than 11 in the future.
