If we really wanted to do it right he'd hit up the old san francisco steakhouse! They give free bread, and a scantily-clad woman would swing and hit a bell with her foot and a ragtime piano man play ya live music. It don't get no betta, brothers.

I thought this thread seemed familiar. I didn't read the whole thing before I replied that second time. I have two small kids and don't sleep much either. I was about to ask why it was bumped, but I see bigtexxx ate at French Laundry. That is definitely worth bumping a thread.

I've said it before, and I will say it again. It does not suck being married to a chef.

The most I've spent was at Cheesecake Factory with my ex. We were both really hungry I guess. It came out $100+, forgot how much exactly. $400 she should be getting me sandwiches for lunch and happy endings at night for a week.

I also got a haircut at the Galleria once and it came out around $120ish... never came back.

Wholly crap 120 dollars for a haircut? This dude came to our house once and gave me, my brother, myself, body waves. I'm sure it cost 40 bucks or sumptin a piece, but dude barely escaped with his life. My hair was eff'd up for a while after that.

Priciest meal for two I've done was $210 before tip, about $250 after. This was at DaMarco and was absolutely worth the price.

I'm not a wine freak, so $100+ bottles (w/ 70% markup) make no ****ing sense to me. I get buzzed pretty quickly, so I'd rather enjoy the expensive food instead of the alcohol reducing the sensitivity of your tastebuds.

I thought $50/person meals was pretty rich.

$230 is the most I've spent for a dinner for two, and we really had a good time that night.

I'm a cheap b*stard, most I ever spent on a meal for two was like $100 and this was about ten years ago.

I rather eat out at Texas Roadhouse or TGIF a few times than use it all at once :(

Are you and your ex morbidly obese or ultimate stoners? How the hell do 2 people spend that much on food at CCF  their portions are ginormous!

I'm not even 21 or anything so I've yet to do big baller things like some of you guys. Though I have spent $180 for two at Fogo De Chao. It was worth it in my eyes.

As a restaurant owner let me tell you what most of you guys already know that the drinks are priced many times the value it is outside. That goes for anything beer, wine, coke, sprite, ice tea. That's the reason why restaurants bar you from taking in your own drink, because that is the money maker. That's not to say don't ever order any drinks at any place because its so high priced. But you are paying for the atmosphere and the meal to drink with.

Tasting menu at Daniel in NYC was a little under $200 per person, before wine IIRC

Jesus, I must be the cheapest person in the world. Took my wife out for her birthday dinner, and she got mad because the place I took her to had entrees averaging about 20 bucks. To appease her, I order an 11 dollar hamburger.

I think the most I've ever spent, for two, was about 50 bucks. We don't drink, so I guess I can assume this saves me a little money.

It probably pisses you off that I almost always order water and nothing else. Sorry, man.
