Thanks, nice highlights. Very solid, especially considering the terrible passes by Flynn at the end of the shot clock - I cound two at least!
Is Flynn another SG trapped in a PG's body ? I swear I saw a taller Brooks in this video.

Funny you say that, I thought I saw a shorter Steve Francis. DRIBBLE DRIBBLE DRIBBLE DRIBBLE.

1st... That'd be a steal... 2nd.. Flynn and Brooks are the exact same height.. Flynn's body style is a little more solid... Thicker arms and legs... If he could shoot half as good as a healthy(Pre-Ankle Injury)Brooks he'd beat easily beat out Dragic for the back-up spot...

Dribble dribble dribble point guards can be effective: see Chris Paul.

Except Flynn can't pass like Paul.

I respectfully disagree. Melo's jumpshot looks quite different in my opinion. I think the reason Morris reminds of you Melo is because their shots are both very smooth looking.

If I had to compare Morris' shot to anyone else's, it would be Durant's.

ill get excited when i see him take his man off the dribble.

but i think he would be awesome in the c-webb role in the high post offense

Anyone know how good his post game is? I haven't seen him play his back to the basket enough.

The key difference is that Chris Paul dribbles with a purpose. Flynn dribbles just to dribble. Just like Steve Francis.

I was impressed with the very high release as well - so how did he look on defense?

This dude is extremely capable. He has one of the quicker jumpers for guys his size. If he can learn to shoot off the dribble and/or drive the ball I feel he could become a very special player. I'm curious as to how he will develop as a perimeter defender. I do. however, think that for a guy of his size he needs to get more aggressive around the basket and pull down some more rebounds.

Morris is very controlled. From this game, it seems like it will be tough for his defender to help. As soon as his man helped, Morris created space, made himself available for pass, and was set to act immediately when he receives the ball. Very difficult on defensive rotations as guards won't be able to affect his shot.

Three range would help him some. He should work very well with point guards and wings that can drive. Lowry and Williams are the players I think he'll work well with from the Rockets.

Yah I hope he can be melo one day but he is nothing like melo lol... Melo has probably the best jumper in the game... melo is way better handler...more agressive and getting to the basket...and biggest threat is the fact that he can penetrate and finish and when defense start to "cave" he can step back off the drive and kill it from long range.

Only way this guy gets comparisons to melo is if he starts taking top wing defneders to the hole and getting fouled... until then hes more of a al harington.

What was really nice was the assists. The ball kept finding him open for the jumper but when the D did collapse or he wasn't open, he did find the open man. And if I remember right, he created with the dribble on one assist. (Might have him confused with TWill though).

I saw a lot from Morris last night that makes me think he could be a serious player....

    -Very effective in 2nd Simulation/Exhibition
-Jab step (saw this is both exhibitions) quick jab step used to create space for open jumper
    - Made the one three pointer as time expired, form looked good on other misses and they were not off by too much
    - Good job on fast break of running and converting
    - IMO he seemed to be plenty quick enough to be a power 3.
    - Defense looked solid
    - Drove on Splitter at one point and drew a foul.

    Negatives I saw
    - At one point he had to try to box out Dejuan Blair and got shoved around (what rookie would not?)
    - Didn't seem super impactful on glass (yet)
    -Fouls

IMO Marcus could be what we know that Chase will never be. Start Morris.

...hard to tell a lot from that video but so far I like what I see. Seems like he is a decent spot up shooter(pretty shot) and he seems to pick his spots well off ball. I like that he was running with the team but if that was him running full speed trailing on those breaks then he is probably too slow for an NBA starting 3. Doesn't seem like he has size to play the 4 consistently either. We obviously didn't see him create his own shot here so that is an unknown - certainly wouldn't compare him to a Melo or Paul Pierce without seeing him do that. If he is nothing else but a good spot up shooter and can not hurt the team defensively, he'll be a pretty good pickup by Houston that far down in a weak draft.
