System or Players?

  1. It was Adelman's strategy and his system that helped us win those games.

  2. Adelman can direct you, but the players are the ones that had to execute. The players.

    Adelman's genius strategic maneuvering?

    ...

Or the team's heart, hustle, and grit?

If anything they probably should have won a few more games.

    Both.

adelmans system got the most out of our players.

but we also played with heart, we should have made the playoffs had we not lost the first 5 games because someone insisted on playing you know who.

    The players

The team won 43 games in spite of Rick.

I actually think we underachieved. Injuries to Lowry and Chuck and the AB drama cost us a few W's.

I think we waay overachieved. We were starting a 6'5 center and didn't really have any high impact defensive players on our squad at all. I think RA was mainly the reason, but also the hustle of Lowry / Scola / Hayes. Even with Dalembert, I would not be surprised if we took a step back this year.

system. Adelman always got the most out of his players no matter who they were. there were teams that were better roster wise than the rockets and still won less games.

Anytime you start a 6-5 center and your two best players are horrid defensively, you overachieved if you can get 43 wins and sniff a playoff berth.

I believe it was Adelman, as much as I did not like his style at all, who accounted for such overachieving. His all offense, little defense philosophy fit perfectly for this team, and he made overachievers out of the likes of Lowry, Budinger and others.

True. I damn ginobli every time i see him because of this http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=/&gl=US#/watch?v=gpwqIQaGFmg

I know if brooks was an awesome player he could over come this, but i think it was just a mix of bad things that made him never recover from this injury. His career had so much promise with MIP, but it just went straight down after this.

    Truly sad
