You actually think Morey is the person making the decision about the teams direction? Honestly? You sure it isnt the dude who owns this whole ****ing thing and pours millions of dollars into? Bang on Morey, but dont be stupid. He follows les. Not the other way around.

Then you have a short memory. Houston was a prime landing spot free agents in the 90's. It all comes down to having star players that other players want to play with.

As for Sacramento, it is nothing special. Houston is a major market.

Jeez Feign, your credibility is wearing thin.

Regardless, awesome deal for a Morey asset. Glad to hear its 2 yrs and 1 yr guaranteed. This keeps my hopes up for the offseason

I am very happy with Samuel! He's a true 5, is aggressive on offense and will average 10 boards this season. We'll make the playoffs now, much more easily. Our team was hard to watch without a true center - now it will be fun again.

Not sure I'd put him in ELITE level anything otherwise he would be getting Chandler money not Kwame money.

That said, it would have been a mistake because they've preached flexibility forever and it would have killed a TON of flexibility for next season.

Happy it won't and it turns into a very nice deal once again.

Can't be mad at all about that contract.

We were already sitting in average territory this season, so all this does is increase our odds of getting in the playoffs. At worst we were probably drafting late lottery and now we'll be 2 or 3 spots later plus some likely playoff action. Solid move.

at least we're a more appealling city than sacramento

    WojYahooNBA
Kings made Dalembert his two best offers of guaranteed money over past 2 weeks, sources say, but he clearly wasn't inclined to return there.

but seriously, if i was dalembert i wouldve taken the money in sac town. its not like we're contending. the only thing we couldve offered was more playing time...

I think with signing Dalembert and Adrien, that gives us 15 guaranteed contracts. Does that mean Jeremey Lin gets cut as a byproduct of this deal?

Lots of people are forgetting about the 90s. There are also younger posters who grew up on Britney Spears instead of Nirvana/Oasis/Radiohead/Tupac.

We need to keep the 90s alive.

Did he have a choice? The Kings pulled their offer.

The last time I read about a team doing this was when Jerry Buss got pissed at Odom who kept on demanding for more money.
