i think there are a few overrated teams out there.. like the clips getting everyone acting like they are top 3 now because of cp3… basketball is a 4qtr sport and they can only throw lobs to griffin a few times a game… plus, i got money he gets injured before the season is over.. the spurs are overrated and OLD.. the Mavs are back to being the mavs now that there defensive presence is gone they will be back to out scoring people.. i think we will be surprised how well we finish up in the standings..

Vets can also be trade assets, in case you were asleep during the trade deadline last year, when the Rockets moved Shane for Thabeet. Teams want to trade for players when the production exceeds the level of compensation, or in the case of a contending team, when the player satisfies a need that could get them over the hump. A more palatable contract just makes that trade more possible.
He is getting very little over the MLE. He does not really eat next years cap situation because his buy out is very small. Further, if the Rockets decide they must have that 1.5 million back, all they have to do is deal him at the deadline for an expiring contract. Some contender will be VERY happy to take him off the Rocket's hands. Morey refused to cave into Dalembert's demands even after players like Chandler and Jordan were way over paid. Morey didn't even flinch when last night it seemed like Dalembert was going to Sacramento. Only way this is not a very good risk is if you want the Rockets to tank. Unfortunately that is not up to Morey, he has numerous times said being terrible is the easiest way to rebuild... What do you want him to do?
