Yes. Gary Kubiak blatantly miscalculated when he set the peakometer.

They are now on downward portion of parabola SMH FML WTF BBQ

You can't peak in football, the season is too short. They have to simply try to get out with a win every week come hell or high water. This past weekend by the Colts and Chiefs showed us just that.

The Texans live by the mantra 1-0, which is exactly what you need to do in the NFL.

LOL, yea they did and so did the packers. They're playing pro's dude, they aren't going to win every game. Now if we lose Thursday night, then we have reason to worry.

I think Kubiak coaches better when Wade is on the sidelines
    That said
I expect this was a hiccup

If they go out and lay another egg on Thursday, then time to worry; otherwise, if they win the next two they will start the playoffs with a new win streak and some momentum. I say it is 50-50 that either could happen. They are still the Texans. If they lose the next two and the first playoff game, they will finish 10-7 and once again they will have snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, a technique they mastered last season. I really, really hope they don't do that. At some point, the Team Disappointment label has to go.

It's not about peaking, it's about injuries.

"Peaked," HPD? Let me tell you something. We haven't even begun to peak. And when we do peak, you'll know. Because we're going to peak so hard, that everybody in Houston will feel it.

You can do it, Texans, because you're a winner. You haven't peaked. You haven't even begun to peak, but you're gonna peak today. Oh, you're gonna peak all over everybody.

Rep me if you get the reference

I think the loss had a lot to do with Kubiak, for sure. It looked like he went into the game wanting to go with an ultra conservative, limited playbook and wasn't treating the Panthers like a legit opponent. Maybe we can do that in Indy and win, but the Panthers have a potent offense and aren't doormats like the Rams.

This team, in its present form, can't get down early. We've got to be aggressive in the first quarter, first half, and then cut back into preseason mode. But what's done is done and I believe we're essentially locked into the #3 seed thanks to the home dud. Baltimore needs to puke all over itself for us to get the bye.

I don't think peaking is as important in the NFL as getting into a rhythm or hot streak is. I'm a firm believer in going into January with all guns firing, rather than resting the starters in week 16/17. Eli Manning is a great example of a guy that rode a wave of a hot streak in the postseason. Same with the Super Bowl Cardinals.

That's not peaking - that's going into a zone. And you don't get into a zone coasting into January. And I'm concerned that the Texans staff are content to coast into January and try and flip the switch back on.

No, they don't. If he's not 100% then he shouldn't play until the playoff game. He'll be ready. A likely meaningless game against the t*** isn't a good idea.

Especially considering that many of the Titans players would love to end his season before the playoffs.
